Soup After Meal OR Soup Before Meal

In some east Asia countries,people have the custom of having soup after meal,for their soup is good for digestion.But in most Europe and America countries,people have light soup or thick soup,it's not only the rule but requesting the custom.Do you have soup before meal or after meal?

I usually have soup before meal, there are also times during meal. Soup that are creamy are taken before meal. And if the soup has meat in it, I take it as viand and eat with my rice. I never have soup after meal.

I agree agent_alice, i have soup with my main meal, or sometimes before, as an entree. I also like to eat chunky vegetable-meat soup with rice, it's kind of like having stew. I would only have soup after a main meal if i was dining out at a buffet or something, but other than that, i would usually have dessert or a cup of tea after a main meal.

i usually have soup after meal. but it is said that if you want to lose weight, you can have soup before meal. in this way you can feel full though you do not have much food. some doctors recommend that we have soup while having meal. it's good for our health.
Well, I do take the soup before the meal. I have been acustomed to such. Though I do take some soup in between. After the meal, something sweet. That is the usual thing we do in our house as we take in our meal.

I believe it is reasonable to have soup before, during, and after meal. It is really a pleasure to enjoy eating. You intuition will tell you how to do, just eat what you like and drink want you like. I don't think those so called scientists are more intelligent or healthy than we are.

I would prefer SOUP before meal and SOPE after meal. LOL!

Most people in here in Indonesia, eat the soup with main course hahahaha, so soup function here wasnt for for an apetizer or dessert, the soup simply attached to the main course :)

I prefer having my soup before meals (appetizer)... but there are times when I have it before, during and after meals. Haha!

Hi I am from Asia country. I take soup while having my meal not before or after.
