What would be a fair commission?

If you were to be selling ebooks for a company, what do you think would be a fair level of commission? I personally think that 10% would be enough to motivate me to do the selling and was just wondering what you guys all thought? I think it would be possible to sell ebooks through many avenues, including websites around the net, forums, selling to friends and think if I could find someone to sell ebooks for and get 10% it could get me some pocket money each month. So in conclusion is 10% about right to look for, or should I expect less, or even more?
