I made these brownies yesterday and they tasted awesome, but I could not get them out of the pan. I sprayed the pan down really well with some cooking spray, but they just did not want to let go of the pan. Have you ever had this problem? How do you keep your brownies from sticking?

One thing that can help and jazz up the brownies at the same time: toss some chocolate chips in flour, and line th bottom of the pan with them. The'll get crunchy if you let it cool before you try to remove it.
The other thing that helps a lot is to cut a piece of parchment paper or wax paper to fit the bottom of the pan. When you've taken the brownies out of the pan upside-down, the paper will just peel right off.
Good luck! It's all chocolate, so how bad could it be?

I never even thought of parchment paper. I'll have to remember that. It is a wonderful idea.

I always have trouble getting brownies out of the pan. In my case they usually crumble. The last batch I made was good. I feel that you have to make sure they are completely 100% cool before removing them from the pan. Also, as well as cooking spray on top of that I put a light dusting of flour.
I have to admit, though, the parchment paper is a good idea.

This is a cake release recipe that's easy to use and works every time...can be used with any pies, cakes, brownies, casseroles...
1/3 cup shortening
1/4 cup oil
1/3 cup flour
Mix well, store in an airtight container. When you go to use it simply use a pastry brush and brush it into your pan. Then add your cake mix (or whatever) and bake. No need to flour your pan the flour is in the mix.

This works on my cakes so maybe on your brownies to. Try to save some of the dry brownie mix to put on the pan before you pour the brownies in it. Spray the pan or use butter, oil,or whatever.Sprinkle the dry mix on the pan and try to coat the whole pan.The brownies should come out easier and not have white spots on them due to any flour you might have used on the pan instead of the brownie mix. I hope it helps. I know cake mix and brownie mix are somewhat different but hey,it is worth a shot. Good luck.(My husband swears by butter on the pan)More fat though.
