you need to take a shower, but you cannot get your child to sit still long enough for you to go take one? My 18 month old daughter is in constant motion from the time she wakes up till the time she goes to bed. She rarely takes more than a 20 minute nap during the day anymore. She wakes up so early that it is hard to get up before her to take one.

When my daughter first started moving around we got hold of a cheap travel cot (the mesh ones with the high sides, sometimes called pack n' play), filled it with toys and I put her in it during the times when I needed to do things without her, like having a shower. We also sometimes put it in front of the TV, for added distraction. She quite liked being in there, as she associated it with playing.
If you don't have a travel cot (or any other type of play pen) then you could put her in the bathroom with you. You just need to close the door and put lots of her toys on the floor. Sure, it probably won't be as relaxing as if it was just you by yourself, but at least you won't need to worry about what she's up to! (You need to make sure the bathroom's child-proof of course!)

Well, she sounds like she's a little escape artist! I see your dilemma, lol!
I'd say having her in the bathroom with you is your best option, unless you feel that you can trust her in another room full of toys for the time you're in the shower.

I leave her with her big sister! but when her big sister was tiny id put her in her room and shut the gate and leave her to play, nothing in there to hurt her and she was happy. Either that or id just have a shower once they are in bed for the night sometimes thats better I can take my time.

Put her in the shower with you. If that doesn't work make sure that she cannot get into anything in the bathroom and shut the door. Put her some toys in the floor so she will stay occupied while you get you much needed or wanted shower. My son loves taking showers with daddy but he is almost 4. Try what I told you and hopefully it will work. If not, try coming up with some other ideas like a snack in the bathroom while mommy showers. Just make sure there is something under her to keep the snack from getting on the floor. Good luck!
