Why Couldn India Win More Gold In Olympics????

Hats of to abhinav the main reason for indians not winning in olympics is not cricket its the way how we get trained its not up to the international standard cricket grow on it own no one make it to grow the indian cricket players keep the momentum keep going but the hockey players dosent so its not good to blame cricket

Training may be an issue as in time, coach and his/her capabilities, equipment, facilities, and money for it. There may be many type of sports that Indians may not have interest in. The succeeding countries have either government (namely China) or private company (namely US) sponsors to allow their athletes to make around the clock training their sole responsibility without worry about finances. It may not be such a priority for India.

We should be really proud of Abhinav Bindra. Winning a gold medal is indeed a great achievement. I guess sports in India other than Hockey and Cricket are not well funded. If the government takes some interest and allocates some more funds for the other sports, it will improve. More over the media should try helping too. Cricket is hyped so much. Others sports should also be considered.
