Forgetfullness....I call it my sibling ..or twin :)....I actually keep stuff and keep forgetting so much that I actually start to wonder..whether ther r any genies....who r out ther misplacing my stuff :) And many a times it has happened to me that I look for something at some place and I actually find it at the same place after an hour or so!(I really need to investigate on that naughty genie;)... And whenever i wanna keep something really safe, The more I keep it outta d reach of other ppl, the more r the chances of me not finding it either :) Loved ur discussion...:)

I am one of the pack who easily forget things. I hate it because sometimes it makes a fool out of my self. Meeting somebody and not recognizing that certain person is very humiliating. Maybe I had memory problem.

Hi insulin, I am very forgetful too...It happens to me when I am thinking a lot of things and will not absorb or just take for granted some information I am getting... Even if someone will just mention it to me then just a minute, I will ask what word was that, things like this! LOL! About my high school friends, I will never forget those whom I am close with but for just a classmates for like 4 years but we don't really hangout often, i tend to forget them and it's shameful most of the time, that they will call us by our name after how many years and here I am smiling to them trying to remember their names but I can't! LOL!

Dear friend, Don't worry I hope you are far better than me I usually forget many things as you said names are common among them. As things kept and other things too I forget. Sometimes I do feel even that I think I had forgotten still I cannot remember it. Some names comes's to tip of my taught but cannot pronounce it exactly but the memory began to come nearer and nearer to that names but cannot fulfil that name. I hope forgetting is another habit I want to get away from.

Hi there insulin I can be very forgetful and I put it down to my 3 boys and our busy lifestyle. When it comes to things for them I am quite erm, uh what's the word, darn it I have seriously forgotten the word I am looking for, well you know I have to be on the ball - organised that's it, I am very organised when it comes to my boys but when it comes to just me, forget it!!

It depends...I'm really good at remembering my schedule off the top of my head and therefore I'm really dependable. But I'm pretty bad with names.....but I think that's because I see so many people in a day. Who knows..lol.

I forget things to, some peoples names I remember others I don't. If I am introduced to many people at once then I cannot absorb all there names and I am constantly putting things down and forgetting where they are straight away. At least if it is my phone then I can get another phone and ring it. Some things are not that easy.

Are you kidding? I have been known to forget my own name, especially if I'm at a doctors office, like yesterday filling out forms on myself. I put my husband birth as August 11, 2008. It is so frustrating.

Yes that happens to me quite often. I don't why it happens but it has happened a lot in my life. I am saying that I have been forgetful or at least absent-minded since I was a young girl. For some reason there are things that I can be pretty sharp with but when it comes to people's names I just draw a blank. I was in a couple of embarrassing situations in my day when I couldn't remember a name. Sometimes I feel a little hurt when someone doesn't remember mine. Well I guess we are not alone in this.

We all as human is very far from the perfect. Everyone must ever forget something. I always forget in number. I don't know why. I can't remember the price of the things that I but even it just 2 hours ago. I blame myself because I 'm very hard to remember the price number. My brother told me to find out the price of print paper. when i go back home, after I spend 2 hour in supermarket. I will forget the number and my brother upset with me. To solve that, I always write the price in my handphone.

I am extremely forgetful, it's quite pitiful when I think about it! My childhood friend was busy reminiscing about our old days when we used to go do stuff and he even went into detail on somethings and I couldn't remember for THE LIFE OF ME. I felt awful... I mean that's just a huge span of time to just forget and the things he talked of are things that should have a signifigant to me and nothing hit the bell... I was appalled at myself. Last night my bf asked me to grab the phone in the kitchen, he even repeated himself 3 times so I wouldn't forget and about 20 minutes later he said 'did you bring the phone?'... I FORGOT IT! Now that's just plain awful.

Every year, month, day, hour, it seems that things just keep escaping my mind. I do tend to forget people's names or even place the name with the face. I think I'm really bad with people I don't see every day. Once or twice a year, who can expect someone to really remember them when there is so many things happening in one's life every day. I would'nt be to surprised if they forget my name either. LOL Just the other day, I was looking all over for my car keys, could'nt find them and started getting a little riffled. My son laughed, which was not funny in my book, after his laughing he told me the keys were right there in my hand. Well, I had to laugh with him. I think it's quite normal to forget things with so many major things going on all the time.

Oh I forget lots of things...sometimes I am saying something to my friend and then a few minutes pass and something disturbed what I was saying..then I forget what I was even saying..I am suffering from too much memory loss I guess because of too many things boggling my mind. There is this street I always pass to go to work and when I am alone travelling I always forget what the street name is. I also easily get lost because I can't remember the place I go to...like for instance we go to this friends house for the 1st time and the next time they invite me back I totally forgot where it was. I easily forget peoples name as well. I don't forget my crushes though...lol..I even forgot who is who in my yahoo messenger and msn..so when they say hi I am way totally confused who it was.even the ones on my cellphone..lol..I think I am suffering more from it as I recall..hehe..

hi insulin.. I am a forgetful person and that started when I gave birth to my first son..i guess, what they say is kinda true - that anesthesia will make you forgetful.. I always forget where i put my cellphone, eyeglasses, wallet and many more..I try hard to remember where i last saw it but when I need them the most, I can't seem to remember where exactly.. Sometimes, and this is true, I know exactly where I put them but after just a few minutes and they were gone..We have "little friends" in the house and I always ask them politely to return the lost items..After awhile they will turn up.. So, it isn't just my forgetfulness...

It depends on me. I still have some memories of my toddler days and still can recount things that happened to me for the last 10 years (though some I'd rather forget). but small things like your example is easy to pass on my head. I sometimes forget where I have something and suddenly find it in the most obvious location.
