Laptop cooling stands / myLot

I am seeking advice for all you laptop users out there. I was just wondering if most of you uses laptop cooling stands, the ones with fans and stuff. Because my laptop heats up quickly at some days and when it does it just shuts down on me.

My laptop heats up quickly too. Sometimes it hangs but I am not sure if its because of the heat. Are you sure that is the reason why your laptop shuts down? I will have to check at the computer stores for a good laptop fan that is not too bulky to carry around.

my laptop, also heats up quickly...but i am still planning to get one.. i might get a laptop cooling pad, it will be easy to use..

I use one only because when I have it sitting on my lap it does get warm, mine has not shut down though
