how do you reward yourself after a hard day's work? :)

what i do is very demanding as i have to constantly beat deadlines. i have to deal with clients everyday, who most of the times have unfair expectations from people like me. after a specially hard day at work (i only work at home so there's less stress for me as compared to those who work away from home, having to deal with traveling before and after work which can be another stressor, but all the same..), i breathe deep after turning off the pc, stretch some, breathe some more and go to my baby's crib. if she's asleep, i just stare at her like i used to stare at our old aquarium (it's broken now. *sob*) after a long day at the university. staring at the aquarium and at svet has the same effect on me. a blissful peace that nothing can ever compare to. babies sleeping are the most peaceful things to look at in the whole world (parents will feel for me, i don't know about single people out there). if she's awake, then so much the better. we'll talk like adults do (or at least, i talk and she smiles and coos), I'll tell her about irritating clients and ask her what she did that day (as if we weren't together the whole day). nothing monetary for me. i guess the best things in the world that makes me feel good about myself after i battle real life out there are really free. which is an awfully good thing, as money's tight on the budget these days. hee hee. :) let me know about how you reward yourself, so we can learn from each other :)

After a hard day's work I usually just go home and play with my dog. But since SVET came, i have an alternative reward. Her face is angelic and her antics relax me a bit. I know she's not my child but there is something in that child that gives me solitude and peace. Damn, I should really get married. ahha

i have no way to reward me. i do not work from home. rather i have to travel 2 hours each way towards and back for office. i am too tired whenh i come back home. after that here can be many problems at home. so i get to be engrossed there.

I sit and read a good book, eat some fruits and just don't bother about doing any house work or anything until I feel really relaxed.

I know what you're talking about. Sometimes work can be really stressful and its not just work that you have to deal with.. there is traffic and rush hour and sound pollution which might drive us crazy. At the end of the day, i get to go home and have time with my bf. Even we work at the same dept there so many things that has to be done and we dont get to talk to each other. SO when we go home we just talk about how our day was. We comfort each other if its a bad day and listen to each other. I envy you because you already have a baby. I wish I'll get to have on soon

i usually reward myself by surfing the net or watching TV after a hard day of work... i can't spend much time on the internet though as i have to sleep early every night... i have to wake up early every morning to go to work... so i need enough time to sleep and rest my body... take care and have a nice day...

after a busy day at the office, upon reaching home i usually play with my dogs. though my dogs are very hyper and fights for attention constantly with one another, playing with them somehow relaxes me. i think the way my dogs affect me is the same way children affects their parents. then after a while i would have dinner, feed my dogs and watch tv with both feet perched upon a stool.

I reward myself by eating in a fancy restaurant.lol, not really fancy but some find dine-in perhaps. After my working time,my colleagues and I go out and eat probably in fast food restos, or buy some snack and hang out in some place. And on salary day, we would eat in our fave restos like Buddies, Jerry's grill and sorts..I believe it's necessary to reward yourself and notonly work so hard without having any social life. It actually releases your stress and gives you this contented feeling. I also buy clothes and shoes, or anything for myself once a month. I'm not telling this to live in luxurious life but by doing this, you feel proud of yourself, for a job well done. happy mylotting~!

I have to agree that there is nothing more peaceful than watching a sleeping baby! I'm home with my kids, and sometimes they can be so trying and exhausting. But then I see them asleep with their little angel faces and I realize how rewarding life really is.

I am a full-time mom and when the kids have settled down to sleep, I usually have an ice cold coke and chips and sign in to mylot.

There are alot of things I do to reward myself after a day's work. These things can vary day to day depending on how much time I typically have to myself. First, I check on my younger brother to make sure that he is alright. Make sure he's had a bath, tucked in, taken care of. Then, I get my coffee. It is always in stock at my household. Afterwards, I reward myself with a soaking of my own. I use a homemade milk and honey treatment, with green tea cleansing afterwards. I might entertain myself with television, but no more than half an hour. Afterwards, the electronics go off, and I read a book until I feel tired enough to sleep.

If I've had a very long, demanding day and I can sneak in some nap time. I'll change into more comfortable clothes and I'll just relax and take a nap. Sometimes it's a short nap, sometimes it's a long nap, but I definitely enjoy my naps when I can get them. Sometimes I like to just take time for myself and play games or something. Playing games also helps me relax.

Work and get rewarded - I like my job
Dear friend,After work I often spend time in mylot or just surf other sites, listen to music or just spent time with my relatives or friends or parents. There are many things I do the only thing is that I may get more tired so I would just want to have a rest seeing some movies or just listening to musics. Other just spent time walking out or just a drive through city in my car. Moreover I may not get much time after job or most often I would too tried.

After a hard day, I would like to buy some delicious food or snacks to eat so as to reward me. However, eating too much sometimes made me suffer. On the other hand, I always have fun to eat delicous food. This is my hobby. Shame!

ah, many ways for me, the most commonly used one is treat myself to eat delicacy after work, sometimes go to a small stall, sometimes a restaurant. other ways of rewarding myself is shopping. i find that if i am absent from shops for a month, then my shopping must be stormy and crazy.
