Do you take problems and trials positively or do you give up the fight?

With the way the world is going and the different trials that people are experiencing, can you actually say that you are a positive thinker? Not only a positive thinker but a positive doer as well. I've heard a lot of stories where people give up even before the fight has even started. It's like when problems come, a lot of people tend to think negatively about the way things are going in their lives. It's sad to hear stories of people ending their lives or doing drastic things because of the trials that they are experiencing. Do you take life as a challenge? I'd love to hear your insights on this.

[b]i take them positively and i don't give up on them. i learned how to fight for what i know is right but there are times that i ignore these things and keep myself from becoming worry free. i can really see that living in this world is one BIG CHALLENGE because everyday there are problems arising every second, every minute, every hour and everyday of our lives. but there are times that it pulls me down too but i know i have to stand up and fight for what i know is right. people very close to my heart keep me standing still that is why here i am standing showing positive aura's to other people. Good to hear that you take things positively... and yes, life is really one big challenge that we have to overcome day in and day out. In the end, it's not what you did but how you did it that counts... Thanks for the insight!

well, i really take life as a big challenge..but still, i do reall enjoy it...being positive with life is so great...despite of the problems that you have, you should be thakful of it and you should think that you have already surpassed it...because each time you have a problem and you keep on thinking that you would give up, you can't handle it anymore, you think you're dying ---these lines just make your problems even bigger and heavier...because instead of attracting positive energy..you're attracting the negative ones...that's why we must enjoy life even though we're having so much storms in our lives...=)

True... Negative energy just makes the problem heavier and harder to bear. Enjoy is the key word... thanks for sharing!

I always like to think in a positive way, for my own self and for all associated. I would look at things to improve and be for the better.

I try to take life positively. When troubles come around I always try to think to myself someone out there has it worse then me. One of my moms favorite sayings she taught me growing up was I once cried because I had no shoes until I met the man who had no feet. No matter how bad your life seems to be there is always someone out there who has it worse.

Sometimes, I will think negatively for a while. However, I think I will survive this most of the time. It is hard to keep a good mood whatever happens. Notwithstanding, taking a big breathe, then everything will be fine. At least, I won't be care it so much.

True... Sometimes it really is hard to stay positive when bad things happen. I also usually take deep breaths to relax. Thanks for sharing!

Life can be a very challenging thing sometimes. It is hard to stay strong during these tough times. I would say that I like to think positive for the sake of myself and my family. I have a young four year old son that needs me and my courage to keep going on. I like to face the problems head on and deal with them as they occur. There is no sense in giving up. Sometimes life has its ups and downs and you just need to look forward to the up times in life.

It's good that you have your own source of strength which is your son. I'm pretty sure if other people have their own sources of strengths as well, they wouldn't give up on life so easily.

Hi rose, I can't control to think negative thoughts sometimes but I am glad that my positive side will always overpower it...I guess the support of my loved ones is very influential and helpful for me so I will always motivated to try and try in life! I always think about different approach in solving problems and try the alternative if the first step will fail! and it is also very healthy for me to discuss things to people I love and care so that I will be seeing the problems in all angles!

Sometimes, I tend to runaway whenever I encounter problems. And very often, I am provoked and would want to prove myself that I am great and better than what they think of me. Like in my work, I don't like the way my boss treats us but I always tell myself that bosses are programmed to yell and get mad all the time to easen up whatever I am feeling towards my boss. I always console my own self so that I won't do anything that will make me do something that I would regret someday like maybe resigning, things like that.(or else, I'll be encountering another problem... where to get money for living..) Taking life lightly makes it a lot easier to handle problems. And always look at the brighter side of life.

Of course, it is normal to feel down when trials strike us. We are just human and we are prone to weakness. But the best thing is don't give up the fight. You're almost there.

I am not sure what kind of problems or trials you are talking about. I think it is like that old song...I think it is called the Gambler...anyway; he sings "You have to know when to hold them - know when to fold them." There are times to fight as well as times to just let it go. When the fight becomes more negative - or you are fighting - just to fight such as to "prove you were right" - sometimes it is a better idea just to stop fighting. However, there are times you should hang in there and play your hand! Keep fighting! I believe life is one big opportunity. There is a possibility to learn from everything...there is an opportunity in everything that happens. Challenge...yes! Life can be a challenge. But with an open mind, a positive heart and a willing spirit - we will survive...whatever it is. Don't get me wrong...there are circumstances that are final...there is no way around the fact that each of us are going to die someday. Some of us may be told by doctors they only have a certain amount of time left here on Earth. (I cannot imagine hearing that kind of news.) However, the rest of us have no timeline. We can die at ANY time (in the next minute, 10 months, 10 years, who knows) - the point is we must remember to take EVERY moment we have and make the best out of it. Take EVERY moment and be as happy and as positive as we can. Life is FAR TOO SHORT to give up or to hold onto the negative. Life is FAR TOO SHORT to cause problems...for others or ourselves. GREAT discussion rosedust82! THANKS for bringing it up!

I was very pessimistic before and always expect the worst. I thought that if I do so, I will not be dissapointed anymore. Then one day my mother let me wathc this video on youtube by MOMOzone. It was a really good inspirational and moving video. Evrything he said made sense and it speaks right through me. SInce that day, I started being positive and my closest friend saw the change. Always thinking positive will actually lift you and make you feel light. I am proud to say that I am now a positive thinker.

Hi rosedust82. Yes, life is a big challenge. Since childhood we are overcoming obstacles one after another. It's like hurdle race. You have run and cross over the hurdles, never look back. That is what I think. When I face trials, I try my level best to face it strongly. Sometimes I win. Sometimes lose it. But I accept the loss as a part of life. I don't take that loss in a negative way. I ponder why did I loose? Looking at things in a positive way helps to overcome the trauma of loss. I have faced few trails where I knew I have to lose, because, I can't stop someone close to me from dying. But I made sure that I give it a determined fight. Being a positive person helps me to stand strong on my feet even the worst things happen. I take it as destiny.

it's so much better if we deal on problems one step at a time rather than be bothered by it til it consumes you. i try to deal with it and face it, because forgetting is the least effective way of dealing with anxiety.;) so as just to keep me sane.;) i dont like to put myself in a position where self-pity is highly prevalent. but as a human, yes i sometimes feel weak, and ready to give up. reality, there are certain things that it's just better to stop the fight. doesn't mean you're a coward, but it's most likely that we should learn when enough is enough...that solely depends on ones tolerance.;) one day to waste is just too much to waste the next.
