I have often recommended certain sites that I come across on the internet that relate to my interests. I visit a few music download sites but there is one that I have used often because it is trustworthy and has loads of freeware available. It is Cnet.com and I go there to download everything from security tools to games. I recently discovered that they also have a wealth of free music downloads! I've just come from downloading some music there. I have been a member for a long time and they have not failed me yet.Where do you go to get most of your downloads?

I get all my tools from Cnet.com. Haven't had a problem with the site when I need to load a program onto the computer. Last week I was going to download a program which I believe is missing on my computer and started the download but in the meantime read the reviews about this program. The reviews said the program was full of Trojans so I stopped the download and didn't bother to complete the process. That was helpful to be able to read reviews as a precaution.

I have reviewed some applications for Cnet myself, carolbee, and it is very helpful to have these guidelines to go by whn considering adding a program to your computer.

I used to belong to one of the paying sites to download music, ctry, so I am all for anything we can get for free!

I currently use Limewire which is compatible with Macs, sadly a lot of these download sites you have to have a PC to be able to use it, so I stick with Limewire, I paid a one off subscription so I am able to download without worrying about pirating or breaking any laws etc, so peace of mind. I hardly ever download music now because I have most of the music I require, sometimes there is a song that comes on on the radio or at the gym and I will do a search for it and download.

I had Limewire installed on my old computer, wolfie, but I never could understand just how to use it.
In the end I just gave up on it. I have tried Emusic, but the quality of some of the songs left me very unsatisfied and did not justify my paying them a monthly fee. I have also accumulated many of the songs I want but I continue to find new ones.

Thanks for the tip. I love to search the net and find cool and freebie websites. As a matter of fact, I've started a blog (on my profile) where I post these little known sites and inform people of their existance. I'm going to check this one out and write about it on my next entry. Thanks!

Thank you, di, because we could all benefit from being informed of the really trusted sites with all of the ones out there that are iffy.
