What Do You Think Is The Most Important Invention Of The Last 100 Years?

I think the most important Invention of the Last 100 year is Satellites, Because without Satellites computers and cell phones would have good connections. YOu wont get your 500+ channels in your Television ha ha. So I think that was the best invention ever in the 100 years that pass lol.. Even though most people will say computers I think Satellites did the most.
I also think Medicine is a good invention that was made over the 100 years. My Father is in his upper 50's and he told me most of the medicine that we have today wasn't made in the days he was a live ^_^ lol . :P Well yeah.

Plastic probably might be considered one of the most important things invented by Dupont. Look around you. i'm sure you'll see something made of some form of plastic. If it was not for that, a lot of the things we buy &/or use would probably be more expensive, & made of somethign else. Even moat of the clothes we wear has some kind of derivative of plastic (nylon - which was actually led to it - as an example).

I say the automobile.
Without the car we could not have progressed to inevnt other things as quickly etc.
I would be lost withput my car. The sattelites I could live without as I did before hand.

The microchip. Necesary for personal use of computers and almost everything electronical. Very important.

The most important invention in the last hundred years is the reprap machine. It is very new and only just getting started. It a machine that can make anything including a copy of itself. I works by printing an object in 3 dimensions. At the moment it can only do plastic but soon it will be able to print almost anything. That means everyone will be able to make what they need just as easily as printing a picture in a normal printer. Copmputers/computer chips, becuase these days everything ir run by computers and has those little computer chips in them. I don't think we realise quite how many things!
I would just like to point out that while satellite is an important invention, it would be useless if all those things it is used for ie tv, cell phones & computers hadn't been invented it would be useless! So i guess a lot of modern technology relies on other bits of technology to work. It's hard to pick just one thing to be invented over 100 years when so much has been invented in that time.
