Not only is my guy OUT of the halfway house as of yesterday BUT I leave next Friday to go an spend a week wiht him! I've not seen him in a long time and though we've been talking on the phone regularly (LOL especially now that he is in his own place...we've talked for several hours already since yesterday) I can't wait to see him....I wasnt goin to go until my birthday in Sept but decided I need to make the trip sooner SO I talked to the hubby this morning and he's goin to book off that week so I can go....
GREAT WAY to end the summer as far as I'm concerned!!
How has your summer been and are you doign anything special to finish it off?

Singapore! oh NICE!!! that sounds like a fabulous trip...take lots of pics to share with us sir fishy!!!
yea it has been a long time..and a rough road at times (we were just talking about that on the phone today actually) but I've stuck by as best as I can all things considered ya know...Sure the guys drove me nuts more times than I can count but even so..LOL when he's on the straight and narrow and NOT acting like a raging jackarse he's truly an amazing wonderful man LOL Its just KEEPING HIM on that straight and narrow and not allowing him to be a raging jackarse thats the trick LOL

Yea our summer was bland to say the least..which is NOT how I'd wanted it but with the gas the way its been and my husbands moms health plus his work etc etc we've pretty much been forced to have a rotten summer...
good positive attitude though littleowl..Never know what will happen!

That's absolutely wonderful news for you, and for all of those who have been following your story. It's nice to see that this story has a happy ending.

Why thank you! I'm stoked...so's he LOL...and my kids are too because they know the next visit (AFTER this one) they'll be going with me to see him...They've not seen him in about 6 yrs or more....In all honesty what would make it a REALLY happy ending is if he and his sister can patch things up since she is one of my dearest and best friends...THAT would be truly amazing! It just tears me up that they dont speak anymore and I totally see her side of it (he really did mess things up big time this last round) and wouldnt blame her if she never wanted to speak to him ever again...but I hope thats not the case..

Not too uncommon. I have sort of been in a relationship like yours for 20 years. I'm not the most excited participator but I handle my end pretty well, as long as hubby remembers I'm Alpha we're good.
I know, but don't ask (cause I'll get an attitude - but part of me wants to) and he don't tell. It has worked for us for the past 20 years and probably will for a lot more.

Yeah, four kids here. Four dentist appointments, well five cause one kid has a orthodontist evaluation next week. And three doctor appointments. We had two appointments Tuesday, two yesterday, one today and three next week. I'm exhausted (and broke). I have to make an appointment for myself for a physical and dentist soon too, not looking forward to that.

Forgot to add, hopefully you can keep his rear on a straight path so you guys don't all have to go through this again! I'm so glad mine has calmed down
, haven't had to 'look' for him in years.
