Surviving Summer

I started my summer slow. Gas was at records highs so I wasnt planning any trips soon. Just before summer, in June, I had no job, had a bad tooth ache and did not know what to do. I had one thing going for me and that was the climate. Its temperate, nice and cool. So, here we are about 2 months later, I have four jobs (1 f/t, 3 p/t). The climate is still cool, I got money rolling in, I am putting on weight, got a bigger apartment, got rid of the tooth that was giving me problems and gases prices are dropping! I say my summer is going well. How about you? What has your summer been like? Did you go anywhere? Experience something new?

I am actually new in town here in Birmingham, Alabama. My family and I moved from Pennsylvania about three months ago. It has been quite hot and humid here lately but that is how it is in this state. We are kind of close to the Gulf of Mexico. No tornadoes in my part so far! I don't have a car right now so that is tough on my family but we have been getting help here and there. I have met some good people here also this summer. My son has made a few friends also. I am a stay at home mother and I like to go on line and taking care of my son. My husband just got a pretty good job down here so we are just hanging in there and hoping that things work out. That's part of my summer so far.
