Who's eaten the meat of a hen that has never laid eggs before?

Saviour-V teleports in... According to a book I read once (The Book Of Sufi Healing), one of the best kinds of meat was the sort obtained from a hen that's never laid an egg. Frankly, I think those are hard to obtain from battery farms, if you know what I mean. But perhaps there might be a few real farmers among us myLotters, so I might get lucky here. So, has anyone actually tasted such meat before? And is it tougher than the chicken you'd normally get from supermarkets? Here in Malaysia, apart from those, you could rear your own chicken and slaughter it later, but you'd have to do a lot of cooking because the meat's quite tough. Do let me know. Saviour-V grins, and teleports out...

I have but I don't like to remember it because it was my darling pet. My uncle chopped it's head off and my mother cooked it for dinner. I bawled and squalled, but I think I ate some. My sister says we didn't. I want my chickens to lay eggs, so I don't care what the Sufis say, the best chicken to eat are the young roosters because too many of them ruin the peace of the flock, so it makes sense to eat them... and use their feathers to decorate your clothes.
