Have you ever tried to dial 911 or 112? They are emergency numbers which are toll free. I want to know if they are internationally accessible or just for US? If it is international one, how they communicate with local emergency authorities and how quick the correspondence would be? If you have ever tried, share your experiences...

911 is the number you call in the US to get emergency help (police, fire station, ambulance ect) I have never heard of 112 though. I don't believe 911 is an international emergency number but I could be wrong.

every country has their own emergency number. you cant really expect for there to be an international three digit crises number you can dial in case there is fire in your house. can you? that doesn't even make sense. how would they respond...there are over 6 billion people in the world. hence why each country has there own emergency number. 911 is within the US only. Turkey for instance has different emergency numbers for the cops, fire department and jandarme.
