Philippines..do you think should it be one of the state of America?

Philippines is a rich country with vast of natural resources. The location is very strategic in terms of military tactics. If it wasn't for most of the people's attitude and colonial mentality,this place will be one of the most successful country in Asia like Singapore and Japan to name a few. So based with our attitude and economic stature, do you think we should give our land to America since most of us want to be Americans in one way? On the other hand, its also one way to lift and battle the poverty of our country because of the vultures in our government. So, what do you think is the next move for our raped land? Raped by its own people.

Why should we be stupid enough to give our country over to some other country? That's not the right attitude in my opinion. We have fought for our right to be independent over the centuries so why waste their efforts? We should respect our heroes and ancestors.
We must think of ways to help our country rather than think of being a state of America. American culture is actually enroaching our culture now. More people are becoming rude towards elders and have no respect. Even local TV shows nowadays show younger people calling way older people by their first name. That's just so wrong. These TV stations are actually perpetuating such wrong kinds of attitude. tsk. So i don't think the Philippines should ever be part of any other country.
We have to find ways and learn to be a united country rather than think of being part of another country.

I definitely like your opinion and I wish our dear leaders will also start thinking and acting that way. They have to make way for the progress of our country and start supporting our own and bring back pride to all the people here in this country. We are rich and we should know this by heart, mind and soul. This is also the reason why I do not want to leave this country to work abroad for greener pastures. Leaders should stop investing or bringing out our money to other countries and start investing it here in our own land once and for all. Its for all of us.

becoming a us state is step backwards for us as a nation. why let the yanks screw us? we're doing a pretty good job ourselves. lol!
i say we become a state of japan and let's bring back the shogunates, shoguns, and samurais. let's go feudal ala-tom cruise in the movie "the last samurai".

Yeah I also think that and that's how I feel about it. My question or discussion pertains to the peole who are pro yanks. Clearly and deeply I dont want to be a part of a cowboy country. I'd rather go for the brits. Bring their fashion and music style here in this r n b influenced country. Lol.
