Have you ever served on a jury?

I had jury duty in the summer of 2005 and landed on a case for 8 days. This was in downtown Los Angeles where the lunch break if 1.5 hours and there was a lot of construction and only one lot that you could park at. Anyway the case was interesting and I stayed behind after the verdict was read with a few others in the hallway to speak to both attorneys. One morning while having breakfast downstairs I saw Mark Geragos there with his coffee. For those that do not know he was Scott Peterson's lawyer and the first Lawyer for Michael Jackson. Everyone on the case just about had been a victim of some sort of crime. It was an interesting case. The case was a car jacking but there was a weapon included so it was also attempted murder. I learned a lot about the terms. I was always confused between robbery and burglary and the Judge clarified this several times for us jurors. My house was burglarized a few months before I served jury duty. No one was home and I have since purchased renters insurance. Robbery happens when you are there, burglary no one is there. Have you served on a jury?

I have always wanted to serve jury duty. I have been summonsed several times but they never seem to choose me for one reason or another. I was called for jury duty once on a murder trial and my cousin had been murdered so they did not want me on that one. I have not been called for over 10 years now. Maybe they will call me again soon. I hear many peopole complaining because they have to serve but I think it is a way to make a difference in our community

I was on a jury about twelve years ago. It was long and boring. At time's I would start falling asleep and my neighbor would elbow me, and I would wake up. We did come to a conculsion and were excused. I feel bad that I would fall asleep but it got real boring.

I've never served on a jury, but given that the case wouldn't be emotional or too hard to handle, I think that it'd be interesting.

I've been summoned for jury duty three times over the past 15 years. Once it was a waste of time; I spent all day in the jury pool and was sent home. The other two times I was empaneled and had to sit through two trials. It was interesting but the courtroom drama is far more subdued in real life than it is on TV.
