Do you use your cell phone when you are home?

I only use it at home when making long distant calls. I only keep the land lines to be able to call out during storm outages (unable to recharge cell). Other than that, I use it when I'm away from home. It saves my limited minutes which are shared.

Thanks Soul for responding. There isn't any problems with people using their cells any way they wish. For mer personally, If I'm home I will save my minutes until peak time. (Unless I speak with another Sprint customer). Have a pleasant evening.

I pretty much ONLY use my cell. phone regardless of where I am... I do have a landline but I don't use it... Only reason why I have a landline at home is because I have DSL at home... As far as my 8 year old daughter goes, she's usually with someone if I'm not home, like her baby sitter's house or at her friends house with friend's mom... She doesn't really use the house phone either... If she happens to be at home, she'll use it every so often... My girl friend also has cell. phone & she lives with me... Since we both have cell. phones, our landline rarely ever get used by one of us... What I ended up doing, even my girl friend does this now, we both would give out our home numbers for the telemarketers & such... We don't really pay attention to the message at home... All the important people have either my cell. phone number or my girl friends, or both...

I screen all incoming calls to my home phone. If they don't leave a message and my cell doesn't ring afterward...well I know it wasn't important. The people who need to speak to me- they know how to reach me otherwise. Appreciate your response sk66rc.

Dear friend, Mostly I keep my cell phone until I feel sleepy at night and may if any urgent calls are awaited I may keep it on for whole night and or keep it charged the whole night. If I on a tour or stay in hotel too I keep my cell phone on. More over some of my clients I had not given my land line phone number.

Our land line phone is under a special plan where the free calls are very limited. But my mobile phone plan is totally unique and I am utilising it to the full extent. I send lots of text messages, talk to people even when I am at home or out of home. Infact my family and friends know that I am easy available in my mobile number than my landline number. We use our landline for the main purpose of broadband connection.

Thanks for your response Swaana. I have had to resort to using dial up when a storm comes through and the cable internet is disrupted. (I hate dial up). My land line is only for local calls. No 411, long distance, caller id or anything. Just the basic. And I screen those calls with my answering machine.

Thanks for your response Mate. When I get a call on my cell at home I ask if I can call them back at home or have them call my home number. I have a family plan and during peak hour limit my calls.

Hi Nikhil_sun. I know some do use their cells at home. They usually have a plan that has unlimited incoming calls, or certain contacts that the can talk to as much as they want. I wish I'd kept my original plan. 1000 minutes for $39.99. Now I have a family plan that has 500 shared minutes for the same price plus international calling. Thank for your input.
