Are you afraid of animals

Hey, everyone i have met a lot of people who are afraid of animals like cats and dogs i never could understand why someone could be afraid of any animal but i guess everyone has a fear of something silly im afraid of roaches and spiders, but i could never be afraid of any large animal i even like frogs and snakes are you afraid of animals if so witch kind and why?

I wouldn't say I have a fear of dogs but I am wary of dogs until I know they are friendly. My son has suffered from a phobia of mainly dogs since he was 2, he is now 7. He is getting over it now but it has a been a long slow journey and I can sympathise with anyone that has a fear of anything.

You'd think so wouldn't you but he most certainly didn't before his phobia came to light! Once we were walking along a promenade and this woman had her dog on one of those runner leads and the dog started to follow my son who then started to run and the dog ran after him, I had to tell the woman my son was scared and could she kindly reel her dog in as my son didn't actually want to play with her dog, but that happened like I said after I found out he had a serious fear of dogs.

Well, im glad to hear that your son is slowly getting over his fear i can definitely understand how he would be a little afraid, my sister use to be kind of scared of dogs but shes not anymore in fact she likes them now. and say hi to your son for me,lol and thanks for your responds.

no way...im used to all kinda animals excpt the wild ones...i love being with dogs & cats for a long time...i never felt afraid if they may bite me r somthg...i hav heard some girls say im afraid of lizards,coc roaches and frogs..thts really funny

I'm not much afraid of animals, I'm wary of spiders and I know all the posionius snakes that live around my part of the country. I'm not going to say I'll stick my hand out and pick up anything - I don't like bugs - but I'm not afraid of them.
I used to have some snakes, so I'm not afraid of them. I don't really want to touch frogs or toads, but I'm not afraid of them.
However, the lady across the street is afraid of cats, dogs, I think she's afraid of everything.
However, that doesn't mean I'm not afraid of anything, I'm probably more afraid of other drivers than animals, more afraid of strange men then of animals, afraid of grills on the ground more than anything else....

well, i like almost all animal but im petrified of most bugs except butterfly's but omg if see a roach or spider im gone lol i dont no why i know there not gonna hurt me but they look so creepy and just scary i feel the same way about bees, but only cause they sting, lol but im not afraid of any large animals not even frogs i use to play with frogs i like em hehehe.

Sometimes I'm afraid with dogs because there are dogs specially street dogs, they tend to bite people. I would be very afraid if wild animals would be roaming in the city like tigers and lions, etc. (LOL). I don't like to see arachnids, I'm afraid of them.

Yes, its never a good idea to approach a dog that you dont know in the street becuse he could have rabies, but if you fear an animal most animal's no when a person is afraid and they react according to that fear, and most animals are more afraid of people then we are to, lol. and good morning to you to.

I'm afraid of a lot of things starting with snakes. I'm OK if I see them out in the open and can avoid them, but even a toy snake shoved at me up close will send me into spasms.
I'm afraid of big animals that I don't know like cows and horses, and also of dogs that I don't know. Usually cats that I don't know run from a stranger, so I'm not afraid of them.

I grew up on a farm. Milked cows, rode the horses, made sure there was a good sturdy fence and lots of distance between me and the bull, fed the hogs, rabbits and chickens, went hunting with the dogs and played with the barn cats. But they were my animals. I knew every one of them by name and personality. I knew which ones I could pet, ride and play with and which ones would leave me alone if I left them alone. It's the ones that I don't know that I'm afraid of.

ya m really very scared of snakes. the way they slither really makes mah hairs stand up. i really hate them . their slimmy bodies really irritates me.

I am scared from stray dogs and cats because their scratch may prove to be dangerous.I am scared from cockroaches and other insects too. But I am very fond of pets. I have a dog at my home too.

im not afraid of animals as long as they dont bite hehe.some animals are dangerous thats why we are afraid ,and some are friendly type.keep animals which is safe not a dangerous one like snakes.

It strikes me with cold feet if I saw a snake whirling around my body. It is just the imagination, but I can't imagine to have the real experience. I can have the strength to face them, if they are encased in glassy aquarium-like. Then I will be more safe seeing them inside.
