hi! wow, so we are from the same nation. LOL. Happy Independence Day, my friend! are you in Indonesia nowadays or in Australia? I always wonder how Indonesian people celebrate the Independence Day abroad. the feeling should be different when we have been far away from our homeland. don't you think so? the proud feeling will also be stronger, I guess. :)

Your country is quite young compared to mine... my country is already 110 years old... and we are still struggling... the more than 300 years of Spanish colonization... 3 years of Japanese occupancy... and years of American colonialism... still has an effect to my country's politics, society, and mentality... i do not know when we will be able to be really free... but like you... i love my country... and i am hoping only for the best...

Hi lingli_78! Our ancestors claimed our freedom from the Spaniards on June 12, 1898. Our country, the Philippines is 110 years free however, we were invaded by the Japanese in the 2nd world war but regain our freedom back. Just like your country, we are also struggling a lot as a developing 3rd world country and hopefully that one day, we will all have that quality of life that we all are aspiring for. Take care always..God Bless!
