felt bad surfing the net...

hi guys!
yesterday, i surfed the net for images of a 9-week old fetus. i was so excited to see what my baby will look like a week's time, and so i googled "9-week fetus"...
i was not prepared for what was displayed in the results. i expected drawings and clay images and ultrasound pictures. but more than 50% of the images displayed were not cute fetuses--but aborted fetuses at 9 weeks old! i can't say shocked, appalled maybe.
it is not in my position to judge the parents or mothers who underwent abortion. i am not God, and their reasons are beyond me. but i felt bad when i saw those pictures. because here i am trying to conceive and now that i have, am really taking care and praying so hard that no farm would befall my baby.
then i would see that. it was gross to say the least. anyway, i had to surf some more as i have not seen what i needed on the first page.
but the good news is, i have seen some really cute pictures of fetuses, and i can now imagine what my baby looks like from 7 - 10 weeks.
well just wanted to share this experience with you.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. In the early days of my two pregnancies I felt excited and couldn't wait to see my babies. I had ultrasound scans that gave me pictures so that sorted out my curiosity. I looked in my book that had drawings of each week of a fetus developing into a baby. I am so glad that I didn't search the Internet for images because seeing an aborted fetus would be upsetting. I don't agree with abortion and wouldn't have one myself but I respect other peoples choices. It is lovely that you did see some pleasant images.

Hi, its sad you had to look at those pics, it happened to me too, its disturbing, im happy you found the right pictures, what helped me was writing fetal development, you can get some beautiful things, do a search in youtube there are some great videos! I would paste a link but i cant yet sorry!

I also saw those images when i was pregnant... and i was quite shocked to see those aborted babies... they were not even given the chance to live and enjoy the world... it actually made me cry... i suggest you try the national geographic site... i remember they had a feature story about the development of the fetus inside the womb... and they had great pictures... they were not made of clay... but actual images taken from a 3 dimensional ultrasound...

Oh, yeah. I have seen those before. Nasty images aren't they.
I am glad that you did find some images of fetuses that had not been aborted as well to give you an idea of what that tiny little thing in your womb looks like. Hard to believe that something shaped like that is human isn't it?

Oh My ! I am appalled that there would be pictures of aborted babies. I think that is sick and something that should never be posted on the internet !
Some people out there just don't care .
I am glad to hear that you are going to have your baby, I am against abortion 100 percent. I am sorry that you had to see those horrible pictures while looking for something so happy.
Babies are great, I've had four. I would have more if it weren't for my age. Take care of yourself and when you see a real pic of your baby ( like a sonogram ), I hope you are able to put out of your mind's eye the ugliness that you saw on the computer.

Yea I have to say it was really an experience seeing this tiny life at only 3 months old and I myself did not know that for the longest time but I think it couldn't hurt for young mothers to see that. I am not an advocate for or against abortion but at the same time I do not want to have a needless abortion if I do not have to so I stick with my birth control but hey, some even consider that wrong...oh, i just dont know
