Must we forgive those who delibrately?

A few weeks ago at chldren's party, a bored looking infant suddenly got up from his seat, strolled determinedly towards a much older chap and gave him a slap.The adults around looked shocked."I 'm sorry" whined the boy.The recipient of the slap wasn't having any of that.He retaliated with two sharp ones.The culprit howled in righteous anger: But i told you i was sorry, he whined."But if you delibrately hurt someone explained an adult to the misguided boy "sorry doesn't make it right.You must be punished.
Do you belong to this school of thought or does your opinion tilted towards those who believed that you must turn your other cheek whenever you are giving a dirty slap.The line is open, you can buzz me anytime.

I feel like this. If I put something out there, more than likely, stuff will come back to me. The same with this. If I slap someone, 9 times out of ten, I'ma get the same in return because after all, no one wants to get slapped and the same with a child. A child may have done it out of boredom, but the person who got the slaps feel to return the favor just the same. That in and of itself is pure karma.

i don't know if a baby, a toddler did something like this i would be ok if another child hit them back. i mean this is a baby we are talking about. you have to teach them better and being hit is not the right way for them to learn
