What do you usually do with your Leftover Food, Do u re-make it for another kind of recipe for the next day or you just leave it the same and just reheat it when u want to eat in the following Day because for me I always prepare the leftover food and add some vegetables on it or i will make it another way as long as it is not the same before I have to put it back in my table again because I cannot eat the same food in the next Day, So, what about you Guys what did u do with your Leftover food........???????

Hi, thats a good topic. You know what,i am sure you know how hard it is to live here in Philippines. Thats is why people here were all conservative on any stuff. Well, being the home maker in the family, I make sure to stretch peso. And in order to save, i re-make the left over food. Like you i also add some vegetables. I save a lot when it comes to food preparation. Just being innovative anyway..

Absolutely you were right that at this time we need to be wise enough to do things to make our life better and reheating food for our leftover is one of the wise decision to save ........

I like to plan for left overs because my families schedule is so unpredictable. It is hard to fix something for just 1 or2 people and not have left overs. Sometimes I will just heat it up and others I will turn them into something else depending on what it is. Some foods I could eat every day and some foods the flavors blend better when they are left overs.

Hi iyah, I usually remake my leftovers. It is easy to do in many ways and also I don't like to put out any food that is good yet. We can do many things with leftovers and nowadays with the prices of food I think that it is usually for many people. Cheers and have a nice day.

If I'm cooking pasta or curry I tend to deliberately cook a little more than needed so I can take it to work for lunch the next day. Quite often I will then eat it cold without re-heating it, though sometimes I will bung it in the microwave first. If we have left over food that isn't worth saving because it won't keep then we try not to throw it away. If it is meat then our cat will usually get a treat, and with vegetable we sometimes feed these to my pet rats. Any left over bread, or bread that we have not eaten before it spoils gets soaked in water and put on the bird table. Stale cereal, again, will often be fed to the rats.

Hi friend, i hardly make leftover in my plates. If is there any leftovers i never reuse it. I give it to my pets. Moreover a serve only required food in plates. So there is very less chance for making leftovers. Wasting food is wrong.Keep in touch. Thanks

I am getting a bit better at making only enough for 2 so I don't have leftovers often any more. I used to take leftovers though and put them in individual containers so I could take them to lunch.

Hmmmm... we usually just reheat the food the next day. Most of the time though there isn't enough left over to eat the next day... hahaha! It's usually gone by the time supper is over... so there. But in case there is, we just either leave it on the table and cover it (if it's the type that doesn't spoil) or leave it in the fridge.

I always put my leftover food to the refrigerator. And I will just eat it the following meal later. Or if I forgot to eat that leftover in the ref, I mix it with some ingredients and then eat it. Or if I think it would be unhealthy or can make me sick, I just put it on the trash. Not unlike before, we have a pig who eat all the leftovers.

Thank you for your response and i think you have to take care of the leftover if there is some food left in the table because at this time our economical crisis arises.......

It depends on what the leftover food is. If it is a casserole of some sort then I leave it the way it is and reheat it. If I have leftover meat I will find another way to use it. Most of the time it ends up in a casserole, pot pie, or soup.

It depends on what it is. I can't always change the meal. But we usually just eat it for lunch and then eat something different for dinner anyways. So it isn't a big deal. Some things we freeze and eat another time and then it is not like you just had it.

Sometimes I just reheat my leftovers, especially if it is something I really love, like cabbage rolls. Sometimes I will use it to make something else, like I will use left over chicken to make a soup. And sometimes I put it into a container and freeze it so I can have it for a quick meal someday. Then once in awhile I go through my freezer and find all these containers of leftovers and I end up throwing them away, container and all in some cases. It is all really dumb how much food really gets wasted in my home, but I am sure I am not the only one who wastes a lot of food. I have to learn how to cook less. That is my problem, I cook like I am still cooking for my family of four when now it is only two of us. But it is so hard not to cook a lot. Alrighty then, talk to you later my friend, Your friend Chris

Hi There Iyah, On leftover foods we would usually put it the fridge and re-heat it the following morning or re-make it. For me leftover foods should not be wasted because it's a grace and a lot of people today are suffering from hunger. There's also food shortage so it is important to cook our food wisely. :) Happy Myloting! Have a nice day.

If it's meat dish, this is reheated and then if it's still not finished for the 2nd time, this is mixed with fried rice. My kids just love it! If not, I have my dog and cats that eat left-over table food. In our place, Marikina City, there are spoiled food collectors everyday. This I learned is being churned to small bits and turned into ingredient for fertilizer.

Hi iyah10. I usually just reheat it the next day or 2 in the microwave and eat it as part of my lunch or dinner. I try to cook just enough so we won't have leftovers. But, sometimes, we do. I tend to eat all leftover vegetables but don't do as well with the meat.

I try very hard to eat the leftovers and not let them go to waste. That doesn't always work and they sometimes get a bit old and I pitch them. Some people are good about eating the 'same thing' several days in a row. Others are not. In my house, I look at the fridge and try to finish things that have already been cooked. I graze in my own house. :)

Everytime we have left over food i keep it refrigerated and reheat it on the next morning for breakfast. But sometimes if its not that much i will just give it to our doggie. She loves our food than her dog food. She must be feeling she is a human being.
