Moneybookers is a payment system like paypal and e-gold. I usually get a lot of spam mail claiming to be from paypal.
This is the first time I'm receiving one claiming its from moneybookers. I have enclosed the email at the end.
The reasons I know this is phishing is
1. It didnt have my name. It just said Dear Customer. Most official mails will have the name you used to register in it.
Secondly there were several typos and grammatical errors - never seen in official paypal/moneybooker sites.
Thirdly the clickable links point to another site even though they displayed as moneybookers. I find this by hovering my mouse over the link and seeing the status bar which shows the actual link.
I'm sharing this tip and I hope that noone ges duped by any of this. Never, ever click on any link. Even if you have a doubt as to whether the email is real, type in the site address and visit the site (paypal or moneybookers) rather than clicking an email link.
Hope you found this useful
