Positive Thinking - can it help you make extra money or at least save money

I have been kind of down lately due to our financial issues. But today as I was making lists of things to do, etc. I decided to start a page in my little notebook of some of the positive things in my life. For example I used to sell laundry products and because of that I still have in my inventory enough laundry soap & fabric softener to last me 2 years. So for a positive - I will always have clean clothes and I do not have to spend any money on laundry products. I figure if I keep making some lists like this it may help me think diffeently and then can maybe figure out how to make extra money. If nothing else it should help me save because if I see it written down then I know I have it (like the laundry soap) and will not spend more money on it. What do you think? What are some positives in you life??

I think feeling down happens to most of us at some time or another. I may seema happy-go-lucky person on here and most of the time I am but i've been through some rough patches too (losing my job while I was in hospital with a mortgage to pay was not exactly liking winning the lottery!). Whenever things get overwhelming I write down positive and negative things too. I make a list of all the negatives and one by one as I get through them I cancel them off the list (bills paid etc.) but while crossing out the negatives I seem to find positives to add to the list. I think we should never set ourselves too higher a goal either. Better to have an easy to reach goal and get there and feel good about it and then make another one rather than have something impossible to achieve which just would make you feel even worse. Better times will come! Happy MyLotting!

Losing your job while in the hospital!! What a bummer, talk about adding insult to injury. I feel for you. I had surgery on my arm that I broke (needed a plate & screws to put it back together again) and had to stay in the hospital for that. I had kind of forgotten that I did not like the hospital. But I am glad that they are there for us when we need them. Yes you are right that you should not set too high of a goal as that can be pretty discouraging too. I am praying that better times will come soon :)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Thanks for your response.
