New Watchmen movie- thoughts?

First of all, I recently read the Watchmen graphic novel for the first time, just so I could compare it to the movie when I see it. In honesty, I thoroughly enjoyed the book, but was surprised at how gruesome and suggestive it was at parts- but besides that I just wanted to bring up the old quote concerning it "The graphic novel that's impossible to make into a movie"... Seriously, I've always heard that and heard it recently on G4 while it was being discussed, but here the movie is due for March. Now that I've read the graphic novel I truly understand what they mean- I don't see how a movie could do this justice, by remaining 100% true to the plot, and besides that the transitions and narration from the Black Freighter Comic that seems to echo throughout the entire thing... I just don't see how it could be done right! Any ideas on how they could get around these little catches? Also, they really can't make this movie true to the graphic novel without making it at least R, possible NC-17... Thoughts please! PS: Did it strike any of you as weird that the trailer almost made it look like the superheroes were villains? I can understand in Rorschach's case, but the rest? The Comedian, okay him too.. but still!
