One of those days was Thursday, November 29, 2007. I tried to change buses at the bus terminal downtown. Didn't have my cellphone with me, it was either out of minutes, or my wife needed it that day. This was very important to me, because it involved a substitute teaching job. Now they trusted me with their kidlets. The least I could have done was be on time and prepared to work. I put in a request for a hold on the connecting bus. Being the nasty snot that he was, he left anyway. I don't trust that guy as far as I can throw him, to this day! That stuck me downtown for a half hour. I thought I could get some compassion going and be allowed to make a phone call. I checked my ATM account. Guess what, it was dry. The money in there had apparently been sucked away by an overdraft I didn't even know existed! So here I am ready to be late. I hate being late. So I go to the Radisson hoping to call them. They would not let me use their phone. I was so frustrated that I screamed! The manager walked up to me and asked, "Is there a problem?" I said, "It was, but it is resolved now." He said, "Then I need you to leave." Talk about how cold people can be if they see you without. Then later that day, at the end of my subteaching day...I found out at the last minute once I was at the door of my house, that I was locked out. I didn't realise that at key turnin time, I had given them my house key. Wow, that was real smart. Was my wife going to divorce me? Would that mistake be the proverbial straw that busted the camel's back? No, she was very understanding. Praise God. I admit that it was an irresponsible thing to do. All I had to do was look. That is what God gave us eyes for. But for some reason, that day I was bumfuzzled, confused, tired. I had gotten there late. The principal, had she not thought that much of me...could have sent me home. She didn't. It was a really bad nightmare, a day I hope I never have to relive. The runner-up day was Friday, May 16. I had an argument with my wife on the way out the door. We were on our way to skidsville at the time. We had been having alot of problems. Arguments over stupid stuff! That same day I went to school and discovered that I had ripped my pants. One step away from all my gifts showing. Luckily I had an understanding principal. The man gave me a ride home with pleasure to change. And he took me back to work so I could continue teaching that day. Talk about Murphy's Law. But God is good. I survived. And my marriage has too.

WOW you really had some bad ones, iv had some days that could top that, lol but im happy to read that everything turned out ok i think that we have to keep that in mind when ever we have bad days, that everything will be ok, but its sometimes hard to do because when things go wrong all we can think about is whats happening at the moment it's happening to us, thanks for your responds and have a good DAY LOL.

Hi apples99 I have had many a day like that, though none recently spring to mind. I think that these days I am so happy that I can laugh at things now so that the day doesn't seem so bad. My car broke down the other day and I had my kids wih me and it was raining, I couldn't get hold of my friend because her phone was off and to catch a bus I would have to go into a town that was 15 miles away and then catch another bus to drive 10 miles back in the same direction to the town where we live as there wasn't a bus that went from where I broke down to my home town!! I managed to get to a garage and they fixed it so everything was ok! I wouldn't say it was a bad day though because everything turned out ok!!

Yes, i had something like that happen to me when i was younger, i was traveling with my family on a long hot trip i forget where we were going all i can remember is it was hot desert road, and our car broke down in the middle of the road and there was no other people around just me and my family, it was so hot omg and cellphones werent that populer in those days so we couldnt call triple a, we had no water, and it took a long time to get help, but things turnd out ok in the end and when i think back on that day i can laugh about it, so now when i have bad days i try remind my self that things often turn out ok in the end.
