Many have the passion for driving. Esp when it comes to traveling between cities it is a long drive. Have you gone on long drives on your own vehicle? Or do you go by public transport Which is the longest you have traveled by your own vehicle? Share your special experiences while driving.

I really enjoy driving long distances. The furthest I have ever driven is from Sydney to Melbourne (with lots of detours) and then put the car on the ferry and drove around Tasmania. It was about 3000km all up, because I put the car on a ferry back to Sydney from Tasmania. I took it slowly as I was sightseeing too. I like to drive for a while, then stay somewhere for the night and have time to look around. That way I'm always discovering and experiencing new places. It is wonderful to be able to think, "I wonder where that road goes?", then turn down it and find out.

I would much rather drive than fly or go by bus. The longest trip I have made on my own driving was 1600 miles. When I moved from one state to another. I normally drive to see my oldest daughter about once or twice a year, which is 300 miles one way. I just love driving and seeing the countryside in different states. Sometimes we take a roadtrip on the Harley, which is great, it's even better than taking the car.
