that our electricity will increase by PHP 1.00 per KWH in September? OMG, it is a bad news again. My electric bill is PHP 1,800.00 last month for 210 KWH used, if it happen next month then it will become PHP 2,010.00 if I maintain the same usage until September. Have you heard about this also? What is your opinion about this increase?

yup, I saw it last night on the news! really bad news. the aircon runs almost 24 hours because of my two year old daughter and of course, I cannot deprive her of that. the government should look in to this more closely. My gosh! They are making so many things to INCONVENIENCE the people. They are not offering solutions to make our lives better! Salary is not at all AT PAR with the cost of living and they are not doing anything about it. probably because they can all afford it because of all the corruption going on.

That would be the same problem I was thinking of, our aircon is running from 8 PM to 4AM and if this happen, there would be a bug increase in my electric bill next month as I mentioned above.

I heard it in the news. And it really is disgusting. And if I maintain the same usage I have my bill would be back to PHP 4,000 +. I would have to tighten my budget now. If I may ask, Why would they do that?

According to them, they have inoperable sub power plant that is why they need to buy power from a more expensive source. Seems their fault or lapses want them to charge with us.OMG they should fix their lapses as early as possible so that they can offer a more cheap bills to us. Do they have a continuous improvement program or maybe they have but continuing to raise the bills...

something similar or even worse is going on in my country too. They just increased the prices of gas, electricity and water at the beginning of the year and then they did it 2 months ago too. Totally each of them increased by %50 since the year has begun.. I am already more than sick of our current governement and would like to see them leaving our national assembly and I want an early election. otherwise they will steal or food too. This is too bad to think. Although it doesnt seem very easy to see them going since there are many supporters of them over here and they are all just .. ok, I shouldn't lose my control. They are just not careful about politics in here :)

I do not know how that corresponds to USD but any increase is difficult to adjust to for a time. is it a large increase? I am impressed that you use only 210 kwh in a month. We are pretty conservative (I think) with our energy usage and used 524 kwh last month. we do not have air conditioning. maybe it is our water heater that is keeping our usage that much higher. for that 524 kwh we paid $37.78 BUT they tack on $20 for what they call service availability fee (pay $20 a month for the privilege of using the energy that we paid $37 for... that stinks I thinks! and then there is also tax so our bill ended up being over $58)

So electricity prices are increasing in other countries too then. Electricity prices have gone up by 9% and gas prices have gone up by 35% in my home country. It is facing a cold winter without having the heating on very often that worries people that I know. Predictions are people will go cold rather that heat their home and they will stop cooking hot meals. Food prices have gone up considerably and many people find that their expenses for day to day living costs have increased a great deal. Fuel is running out and prices are going through the roof. I love traveling and have noticed all flight prices have gone up due to increased fuel costs. There is speculation that my home country might be going into a recession. I hope not and good luck to you in your country.

it is really annoying why they keep on increasing their charges if the prices of oil products in the world market is decreasing?! they are unfair rand all they think are themselves they always let their consumers carry the burden of their problems..it is unfair for us their users they never gave back all those refunds the ERC had ordered them and now they will be increasing their fees?! WTF!

Here at home we are using motor for our water supply and that motor is consuming lot of electricity so it will be another problem to us. Our electric bill increase double the price from the last month. I hope next month the the electricity bill will decrease next month but the bad thing about that is after they decrease they will increase double for the next month again.
