for those who don't know him yet, bob ong is a Filipino contemporary author whose books are most always funny and guaranteed to make you look like and idiot when you read them in a public place (I never read them somewhere where many other people can see me. i laugh out loud when i read him. smiling won't work. you'll HAVE to laugh out loud or you'll burst open). to date, he has written six books, ABNKKBSNPLAko?!, Bakit Baliktad Magbasa ng Libro ang Mga Pilipino, Ang Paboritong Libro ni Hudas, Alamat ng Gubat, Stainless Longganisa and Macarthur, all of which are best sellers. unfortunately, no English versions are available, so those not able to understand the pinoy language cannot really relate to this discussion. my favorite is ang paboritong libro ni hudas (this discussion forced me to pick one, but i LOVE all of his works.), especially his confrontation with the cockroach (jessica zafra wrote a similar article on her confrontation with the said pest, funny, too). do you read bob ong? if not, it is highly suggested by the quarter of a million pinoys you bought his books that you read it too:) if you have already read bob ong, what is you favorite book of his? :)

I have a copy of ABNKKBSNPLAKO?!, and I do love it! I too recommend it to all. The book is light, funny, yet poignant and honest in several areas. Bob Ong was "introduced" to me by my niece and her friends who are crazy about him. I haven't read any of his other books, so I can't say yet which one is my favorite.
