Banana or tomato? Which ketchup do you like more?

Hi guys? I started this discussion because some people I asked couldn't tell or insisted that there was no difference. Well, I think there is a difference with regards to taste and I am more partial to tomato. What do you think, are they different? Which do you like more as a condiment?

Banana ketchup doesn't sound very good. I didn't know there was such a thing. Ketchup is made from tomatoes and is the only way I will eat it. The thought of banana ketchup is kind of sickening. I wouldn't try it with french fries. But might taste it just to try it. I'll check back to see how many banana fans respond.

This is something I didn't know of before your discussion. Where do you suggest I try finding it? It isn't in the local grocery stores or Wal-mart.

yes, it is banana ketchup. I don't know if this is available only in the Philippines. It tastes a bit like tomato ketchup only a little sweeter.

I like both of them, but i like banana more than tomato, though they perform different functions in the body. like tomato does the work of fertility, making you to be more fertile and productive sexually, which banana can help to reduce the risk of cancer in the body. So like both of them.

woah, I never heard of banana ketchup before, that seems really weird to me that ketchup can be made out of things other than tomatoes. Wouldn't it taste more like banana than tomato ketchup if it is made out of a sweet fruit? That seems really different in my head, maybe in your country it is more popular, but in America it is really hard to understand haha.

woah, until now I really took the existence of banana ketchup for granted. I always thought they'd be available in other countries. yes, it is sweeter but it doesn't taste "exactly like" banana. I can understand now why you would think its disgusting - lol again, it tastes like regular ketchup just a little bit sweeter

Oh I have never heard of banana ketchup, I couldn't even imagine ketchup being made out of bananas,....unless it is something different, here in Australia we call what American call ketchup, tomato sauce, so unless it is something for other uses i couldn't imagine it being made from bananas...

These two ketchup are very essential to me. I love both of them equally though, they perform different functions in the body. Like tomato make a man to be more potent and productive while banana prevents cancer and can also aid digestion. I love both of them, and I do eat them always. cheers!

hi anaknitatay! If i would have to choose between tomato or banana, i prefer tomato because it's a little tangier, goes well with french fries! Banana ketchup is sweeter and really good for hotdogs and spaghetti. But both will do for me. I chose del monte tomato ketchup and jufran for my banana ketchup.

I would prefer tomato ketchup hands down. I do not like banana ketchup at all. Tomato ketchup is best with fried foods such as french fries and fried chicken.
