So I waited all day to hopefully hear from the job opportunity that I would take in a heartbeat and I did not hear from them today. I still have until Monday to try to give them a call and to say Hey what's up but My hubby does not think I should call and my dad thinks I should just to say Hey what's up....So I am not sure what to do. I am going to have to call them anyway because I have to get back to the other opportunity that I would take as a back up but even with that, I would need to counteroffer to them because the hourly rate is just not enough to justify me even taking it. I have to find out some more information about the benefits and all that, and it would be kind of a nice position with a GREAT company but at the same time I am not sure I can afford it. I am so sad that i did not hear anything yet and I am so hoping I hear something on Monday and it took awhile for me to hear about my second interview but at least I knew that I was GOING to have a second interview. I do not know. I sent the thank yous and all that good stuff so I guess I have to keep looking because I know that on Monday I will be contacting the first offer with the company that Yes potentially the best paying job BUT no Benefits for a whole year and no guarantee that I would even make the base pay it is too much of a risk for the family....I would also not like the job at all so I know I can not take it it is just not going to work...I feel bad as they see a lot in me but not when I can not get benefits for a whole year. Can not do it at all!

It's kind of frustrating to be at the beck and call of some company when you are wondering about a job. I hate that up in the air feeling when you have applied for soemthing and dont know whether or not you will get it. You are hopeful and yet not. It is really annoying when the telephone doesnt ring and you have to start your job search over again from ground zero.

Well I finally broke down and called yesterday because I do have that other offer on the table. I was able to talk with them and the company was REALLY cool about it. I had the fact that they had told me they were GOING to make a decision before the end of last week, but I knew that things sort of got pushed out due to vacations and the like. Well when I called them I told them that I needed to try to find out if an offer was even going to be extended and without even having to say much further the HR guy said "Do you have another offer on the table?" and I said "Yes I do and in all honesty I would prefer to work for you but at the same time if the company is going to pass over me I would like to know so I can entertain this other offer if I need to do so" He was SO COOL about it and they are going to come to me tomorrow by Noon my time with something - of course I am not going to say it would be with an offer and I told them I did not want to add any pressure for them to make a decision that way but he said some nice things about me and that they still have 4 positions open so it is possible they are planning to give me one of those positions anyway...we will see what happens. Besides even if they do not make an offer, I may have to turn down this other offer as well due to what I would need for salary and the costs of having my kids taken care of...It is SO HARD out there. Anyway, it is all good, I know I would ahve to start over and I did apply to another job and tey want to talk to me, so I do have other options if worse comes to worse. Hopefully this just falls into place and we can go from there.
