Visions Of The Future

Do you think visions/prophecies/predicting the future of are glimpse of unavoidable events to come or they are warnings that needs to be heeded to avoid any unwanted events? Its a bit of a paradox to me since time is a funny subject to deal with. On one hand a group says that certain events are inevitable and you can't change it no matter what and on the other hand some says that they are warnings so you can avoid the misfortune to come. I hope we have a good healthy discussion on this one.

some are warnings... yes but to avoid them? not all the time. it is not easy to avoid something that the nature does. for example typhoons that will cause flash floods... where will you go to avoid it. when it is time to go i think it is time to go. you can no longer avoid those circumstances. yes time is a funny thing to deal with for you cant stop it and you can not even slow it down. time will leave you if you will not move.

Good point, but if they are warnings but something can't be done, whats their use then?
