here in the states they have slowly been taking detergent and making it concentrate and supposively you use less so therefore a small bottle last as long as the big kind.. BS!! i follow the instructions on how much to use and i had done the same and it came up to the same line on the caps on both.. WELL i usually buy one regular kind for every couple of months.. this new one will barely last a month or two.. so wtf?!! i know im not overly or under soaping things.. what am i doing wrong? i always have full loads so its not like im wasting any.. i dont get it.. and it claims to do as much or more than the old kind which the bottle was at least twice the size.. GRRRRR

I have been using the concentrated stuff for at least a year or so, I really think it depends on the brand. I find that certain brands like Purex last longer in concentrate than some of the pricier brands.

Did you go to the store today or around the 1st? If so, I find that since people are getting paid the shelves are always pretty empty. Whatever you do, don't get Era! Last time we went to Sams (2-3 months ago) I bought a huge bottle. It has lasted, but I don't find that it works as well as Purex or Arm & Hammer.

i agree with the first person that responded, way to make more money, I actually think they believe we dumb or that we will believe whatever they write on the bottle. I don't like the new bottles and I don't believe there is as much in them as the old bottles. It is suppose to do so much and I don't believe it cleans nearly as good. Why when they got a good thing going do they have to mess ut up. Cap looks the same to me. They just want you to think more and better

yeah i noticed the same cap wise too which is what threw me off since the line in the concentrated cap was the same as my regular

Yeah, I've used the concentrated kind, I don't think they work any better or last longer than regular soap, but its getting harder to find the regular kind, at least here it is. The concentrated kind is way more expensive too, I don't know why the have to make soap so expensive, pretty soon with all the other rising prices, we won't be able to afford to wash our clothes. Makes me feel GRRRR too. Have a good day

I've noticed that as well, especially with dishwashing detergent. We are only supposed to use high efficiency laundry detergent in our high efficiency washing machine, but I've found that the regular detergent works just as well and has not caused a problem in over a year now. It's a shame that you can hardly find any kind of detergent that is not concentrated these days! I agree with you about not costing you less. The only advantage that I can see is the smaller package, making it easier to bring home from the grocery store! My problem with concentrated detergent is that I always tend to use more than they suggest. Maybe it's from years of using the kind that wasn't concentrated or it's because it simply does not work as well as they claim at the amount they suggest. What can you do? Maybe we should all follow "Granny's" (from The Beverly Hillbillies) footsteps and make our own lye soap! Of course, I hear that smells pretty bad when you're cooking it!

i know i was thinking maybe i was using too much of it since it was going so fast but i had looked when i bought it and it was the amount they suggested so obviously their math was done by a 4 year old that liked to write too many numbers lol

well i know that but everyone was saying they did it so that it would be smaller to have more sit on the shelf but i figured it would fake that it was more concentrated than it was

My concentrated soaps last just as long as the other but...they have smaller caps to fill as compared to the larger caps on the not concentrated bottles. I've also been known to use the concentrated as a "booster" for my homemade laundry soap.
