What do you think about traffic exchange sites?

I recently tested a few and can't say I had much success with any so thought I'd check what everyone else has to say about it.
What do you think about Traffic Exchange sites are they useful to you or just a waste of time?
If they are useful to you than which Traffic Exchange do you think is the best and why?

As faln_angel said, it just takes time but TE works. The more members a TE has then better. Some sites are more responsive, though. FE I had always best results with TopSurfer.
Actually, if you want to get results you have to surf 5 - 10 sites a day about an hour, at least a month. When you're doing 5 at the same time it will take 1-2 hours. 10 is too much, I'm afraid, the TE owners and gurus are suggesting 4 at the same time but I noticed 5 is possible if you make two groups: 10 second sites first and then 15-20 second sites.
It would add up hundreds of hits to your site daily, and with such an amount you will get referrals for sure.

With a traffic exchange you should only promote a very fast loading page because people will only look at it for a few seconds and if loads in less that a second or two you lost them. You also should realize that people are looking to earn credits to promote their business, so you should use traffic exchanges to either give away something of value to them for free, or something that will do more to help them promote their business.
Traffic-Swarm does get good results, as long as you promote something that goes along with guidelines I just gave. Another traffic-exchange I like is Traffic-Splash because you can earn hundreds of hits to your sites in just an hour. I have never been to any traffic exchange sites because many of my friends said that they not worth to try so i have taken the advice from them and never been there to waste my time.

Surfers in traffic exchanges are always in a hurry to get hits for their links. In order to be effective with tx, use a squeeze page where you can get their attention and enable these surfers to check your offer at a later time using an email capture form.

No thanks, I could code that myself I just don't see why someone would give out their email so willingly. I never enter my email unless I get something and I know that something isn't spam. Maybe you are better at making those pages I would just never give my email so I have a hard time thinking others would.
I did have some success with one of those STOP sign sites that many are using and it probably gets peoples attention but as far as bothering with reading the rest of the site I just don't know if anyone bothers.

i think that traffic exchange sites are good to promote your referral links only if you are promoting something new, that most likely nobody does not heard of it ... but the best think about traffic exchange sites is that you can get loads of traffic to you blog within a day
