me? i can only sleep on a bed. and not a chair or anything else... though unless i am very exhausted then i can sleep on a bus (big one) or in a ship (for 12 hours ride). if i find myself sleeping over, i tend to stay awake and count thousands of sheep and end up losing count... LOL...and had to recount again... and won't be yet sleep... LOL... how about you? can you sleep anywhere? or are you like me?

No, I have to be lying down in order to fall asleep. I can get drowsy sitting in a chair but I have to lay down in order to sleep. I know some people are able to sleep in a sitting position, but not me! Have a great day and happy myLotting!!

If I find it comfortable enough and I'm lying on some flat surface, I guess I can sleep but, I can also sleep while being seated, though it would be more likely on bus rides.. Haven't tried it at the cinemas even though the seats there are really comfortable..

Hmmm, I usually slept on my bus rides when I went to college.. I often would sleep at the cinemas if the film wasn't really that interesting but so far, been awake when I came in and still awake even after the show..

when i am very sleepy and tired i will be falling asleep in any position but not standing of course. last friday i was really sleepy but i want to watch a tv show then i just realized i have already fallen asleep in the chair..hahahaha i didn't understand what i am watching then so it was rather useless staying "awake" to watch.

i am the kind of person who does not have problems sleeping. i can sleep while sitting on the couch especially if i am so tired. but ofcourse, my favorite place to sleep on is my bed. however, sleeping while sitting also works for me as it helps me relax even when i am infront of the telly in our living room.

one thing I love most about long car rides is that I can sleep on the way, that is if I'm not the driver..lol. i find it kinda relaxing.. instead of constantly asking "are we there yet?" I just sit down listen to my mp4 close my eyes and relax... closing my eyes and doing nothing doesnt mean i'm actually sleeping, sometimes i doze off and other times i'm actually half awake but at least it was a good rest.. i like to sleep while sitting in a car for a long ride even when i'm not in a comfortable position, i could always find anything that would work for me to sleep.. the only thing I don't like is waking up.. hehe. I usually felt dizzy right after..

When I read textbooks I will take a nap while sitting. If I travel by train and have a seat, I will sleep while sitting for about 1 or 2 hours. And I try to take a nap while standing when I travel by train for several hours, but I can only take short nap for several minute.

I can only sleep sitting down if I am very tired or if the chair has an armchair like those in the classrooms. Though sometimes, I cannot sleep if it is not my own bed, its like my body want my own bed. lol

I can only sleep laying down. If I'm sitting, I won't fall asleep. It's just not comfortable enough, or something. I have to be laying down.

Oh my yes. I can sleep in a chair. I have slept in classes, I have fallen a sleep at a loud smokey dance club, I even fell asleep once in a church standing up. That was a scary moment (the part when I started to fall over). I actually picked one of my computer chairs for comfortability of sleeping....

I can't sleep sitting up. I have to be lying down. My husband falls asleep sitting on the couch all the time I can't do that. His head will be down and I would think it would reallymake his neck hurt I have to be in bed to sleep.

I can't just sleep anywhere. When I stay over, I may fall asleep quickly due to exhaustion but may wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep. For buses, if it's a long ride, I may just doze off. Other than that, very difficult. I still love my comfy bed.

Hi I can sleep anywhere but sometimes struggle to sleep in my own bed. If i am travelling a distance I can sleep on buses, coaches, as passenger in a car, or on a train. I think the motion of the transport sends me to sleep. I have also dropped off to sleep before now, sitting on a chair in the staff room at work and in a cinema whilst watching a film.
