In one of my previous discussions, I have talked about the problem about conflicts in ip address which was frequently experienced by my colleagues in my regular job. And the last incident happened with our chief, the highest ranking official in our office. So I told her, that I will check with the problem and will find solution to it.
When I studied the problem, I made some checking of the laptops and other units in the office. I also made some research and read about the wireless router's manual online. I also found out about security features that the router has, if it will be enabled. So I tried it and was successful in enabling the security. That means that no one, without the knowledge of the security code cannot use the router, thereby cannot use the internet.
Because the router owns by one of the lawyers here, not owned by the office nor of the city government, I have to tell about that feature to the owner of it. But when I was trying to explain about it, she told me not to change anything in her laptop especially the ip address. She said that she configured her laptop to that ip address for it is the way for her to connect to her router. So that explains how we experienced the conflicts in ip address.
Later on, in the afternoon of the same day, she told everyone that she got high blood pressure because of me. She told them that I made some modifications with her router, that I should have not done it, for it is hers.
I don't know if she have more knowledge about the router. If she knows about the security, that prevents anyone to use it without the knowledge of the codes. She even told me that it can only accommodate 3 users and from a distance of 5 meters only. Both statements are incorrect.
I don't want to dishonor her but what kind of a religious person she is, that she goes to church every morning and every night, that she is so selfish with that router. She don't want other people from our office to use it, though out of her knowledge, we can connect most of the time. A professor, a lawyer, a religious person, and she acts this way.

This is the problem of some people who has higher rank in a certain office or company. They would never admit their mistake specially someone from a lower position would try to correct them.I don't think religion would change someone's attitude maybe unless they would concentrate whats really the word of God means. But i believe that one's attitude is just within yourself and nobody can change that except you.

yes, no matter what religion you belong, or what you have got from school, or any affiliation, attitude is within yourself.

Sharing internet connection is very possible. I have mine shared with my sister and that way we save a lot. In the office one ISP is being shared by 4 computers and it is giving the office a lot of savings as well. I believe it is so unselfish of that person. She is acting religious but in reality he is just a hypocrite. Well let her die in his selfishness.

I mean she is so selfish. Imagine showing her true greed just because of a router. Well greediness has a place. You know where she belongs my friend.

Hi neil I have a wireless router and two laptops one of which I share with my son I am not offay with how 'private' they can be or trustworthy they are being on the net all of the connections to the internet as far as I know aare the same...back to the end of your discussion it seems like whatever kind of person the lady is it doesn't matter how many times a day she goes to church etc and how many hail mary's she may say etc but all 'religious' people fall greatly short of what they are supposed to be like and for all you do know she may well know a little more about her computer than what she said...its beyond me how she can blame high blood pressure because of you personally I dont think that is possible and she just ueses that against you its disgusting her whole attiude...littleowl

and how can you imagine that, treating me like that, when everytime they have problems with their computers, there is no one they will call to ask for help. no one but me.

Being religious doesn't guarantee that a person is kind and unselfish any more than not being religious makes a person immoral. How you conduct yourself says a lot more about you than what church you go to.

she is really one of a kind person, sometimes i thought i never knew and met her. but anyway, if the line is on, she cannot prevent us from using her router and the internet. i guess it remains unknown to her that we can use the router, simultaneously.

Hello Neildc, you should remember that although one is a christian that does not make he or she to be prefect. Just remember that the human being is not prefect and because of this they will become selfish and ungrateful. You have tried to help her but she is the type that turn positiveness into negativeness. Just pray for her and continue to be the kind person that you are.
