I see many people saying that they are proud of being an Indian?? Today half of Indians want to go abroad, and they still say that they are proud of being an Indian!! I don't know why exactly people feel proud of India. Please dont say that you are proud because you are born here,,That makes no sense i think. Please give a reason that what is so special about india,,so that we should feel proud of It. PS:I don't want to hurt anybody,,i just want to know that Aisa kya hai India main Jo kise aur desh main nahi hai???? Thanks peace.

the main thing i am proud of is - Unity in Diversity.....where else can you find these many religions and these many castes and languages and the people are still united...i love India for its culture which is changing with repect to modern times now-a-days, which i do welcome, but the tradition of India is just marvellous...this is just the main thing i said, there are more and more to add....On a selfish note, i dont like to stay India only because of the corruption around here, otherwise, would just not want to step out

so why are there no changes .. again i ask, if it is going towards westernization, why don't we have good olympic team , why do we have only 1 gold .. we should be like other countries too.. is it because the youth do not want to be involved in anything and busy looking for their own income .. lets discuss this in civilised manner ok ..do not take it personally

My race is Indian but my nationality is not .. I was not born in India... my forefathers were from India.. I do not know my anchestors in India .. my father still have some friends there .. I do not know Hindi .. sorry dont understand what you wrote But I am proud to say I am Indian . But last week me and my husband were embarassed when we saw the opening ceremony of Olympic where the Indian team comprises less than 30 people while the population is one of the highest? I love my culture, i love my religion, i love my food, i love my mothers love, i love my fathers responsibility, i love the tradition, But I hate the mother in law concept Being Indian like others has its ups and downs .. please value our history and history makers If you are still in India please try to help the country, we can only visit india but cant reside their as we are foreigners in our own land. HELP INDIA become the nation it use to be ..

well you can anytime come and reside in India if you love it. i again say that feeling proud just because of race or nationality is not convincing statement according to me. And i see a lot of people saying that they are proud of india because it is a land of many religions. but they miss the second part of it ,which is that clashes due to same religion egos claim hundreds of lives every year. also the translation of what i wrote in hindi is "I want to know what is in india to be proud of which is not in other countries" take care, peace.

It's the environment in which we grown up. While travelling across the country we came to know that besides variations in living and language after every 50 to 75 miles we have union in the name of our country India. Besides poverty and other problems we are now showing our potentials to the world. In 61 years of Independence we achieved many things and everyone is contributing to this achievement in it's own way. So i am proud of being an Indian. *********Nathalghoda

Certenly it is a culture. I think everybody is not fighting for his right. Ill minded people are always there who wants to get benefited by engaging others in fighting.I like to focus on strong points because of which we are proud of being an Indian. It is culture, heritage and harmony. Thanks for reply. *********Nathalghoda
