Recently a few members have asked to see what I make with plastic canvas. I have posted other photos along the way. I made and designed several items so it's difficult to choose just one particular craft or photo. I couldn't make these little earring boxes fast enough. They would sell as soon as I put them out on the table at craft fairs. What's your favorite craft to make and sell or make as gifts?

Making crafts as gifts tends to be hard because my family needs different things all the time. Like one year, they may need pillow cases, another year, they may have found tons of them at garage sales. One year, they need pen holders, but after everyone has a pen holder, they don't need more pen holders. My favorite things to make are things made out of recycled materials. Like confetti made from circle hole punches and metallic candy wrappers. Next would be things from nature like stuffing a little tiny pillow used as an X-mas tree ornament with balsom needles and milkweed down. I love to find uses for stuff like that because it's stuff I already have and I only have to spend a little $ to make it a complete gift.

When you have a creative mind like you do, you can create all kinds of different crafts. I struggle just to think of one or two new crafts. I always do make a sample first and then make my corrections. Thanks for responding.

Likewise, I struggle to come up with one or two crafts at a time. I only have many now because I have done one or two at a time for years. (Benefits of getting older-ha,ha) Take care

Hi carol! I just saw this post. Those are really fantastic. I bet I could find a use for those in decorating my new baby room. Maybe as a cover for our wipe warmer. I am not very crafty. I do work on latch hook rugs.

I love to latch hook but prefer working on plastic canvas projects that I do on my own without a pattern. These boxes were done without a pattern and are easy. Thanks so much for responding to the discussion.

Those are absolutely gorgeous. I can see why they would sell so quickly.

Thank you so much for the nice compliment. They are easy to make but so time consuming. The brighter colors sold real fast. Thanks for responding.

I really have a fondness for crafting, carolbee, but it has been quite some time since I did any. I especially like scrapbooking. I used to do some decoupage also. My most recent ventures were jazzing up all of my photo albums and they looked really nice when I finished them. I will have to get back into crafting!

I just can't get into scrapbooking. I've glanced at what I have here and just don't have any interest in getting it done. Our daughter gave me a book and some pics of the grandkids and that didn't even get me in gear. Thanks for responding.

Hi carolbee, I'm not clever enough to make anything with my hands apart for tapestary or crocheing, I don't think I spelled that right. I rather go to the little craft shops and buy from them. Tamara

I have no idea how to crochet. I do knit and love making various afghans when I have time. Thanks for responding.

I have not worked with crafts in a long time. At one time my friend got me into t-shirt painting and I loved that. Then when we moved closer to my brother I started working with crafts to help them out. My sister in law did crafts and went to craft shows, my brother got into it also and it did give me something to do. My brother did most of the wood cutting and my sister in law and I did the putting together and painting and also with cloth, my sister in law did the sewing and we both did the putting together and painted faces and whatnot on them. I got to travel with them to many of the craft shows and loved it and got to see so many places that I had never been to. Loved traveling via motor home also. I wish I had pics to show some of the crafts we made but I don't have any, she has them online though but not sure if I can link on here to it since it has their name, address, phone number and all that info.

I would love to see what you made but guess you better check with your brother first to see if he minds the site being posted on myLot. I didn't do any traveling. Did local craft fairs. Thanks so much for responding.
