Hi all I think most of us have barbecues in the summer.. I heard that is bad for your health.. Is this true ?? Ty

Ty, I just researched this yesteday, because we're about to have a hurricane in South Florida, so barbecues might be all we have for a while. Barbecue is safe and healthy except for those crispy over-cooked things on the outsides of things. If you don't overcook the food and don't eat the little burnt bits, it's safe and healthy. The burnt parts turn perfectly healthy food carcinogenic. I was concerned because I've had cancer several times and I try to avoid getting it again. There were some news articles about barbecue that were a bit frightening!
