can you pre-order a concert ticket dated for next year? online maybe?

i'm just wondering if it's possible for ticket establishments to allow pre-order of concert tickets 5 months ahead to concert date.. is it possible to do it online maybe..? coz me and my friends are planning to watch the DC one night concert here in the philippines on january next year and I kept on imagining things like what if they ran out of tickets..??? no way I couldn't get one.. as being one of those first thing to know about his first solo tour destination and concert date.. I'm eager to buy a ticket right way.. gotta reserve a good seat..
