Gotta Love My Cat

I dearly love my cat but it's difficult for me to nap, rest or sleep when she's sharing my pillow with me. This is a typical day for her whenever I decide to lay down to watch television. She gets her face right on there with mine. She turns her head and I feel her whiskers brush across my face. Tickles and then I start laughing. I close my eyes and open them only to see one big eye staring at me. She's so close to my face. Does your pet like to get in your face, space and share to the point it's hard to rest or sleep?

I dont have my cat anymore now, but he loved to sleep on my shoulder and breath to my face too .. he goes all around the place and jumps through my window, then he finds comfort at my shoulder.. he was beautiful with white fur

Well, I don't watch tv on a couch, but laying down in bed is always a trip. Ping and Pong, the Wonder Twins, vie to get closest to my face. If Timus comes, he will also try to be the closest - and he'll lick my face too. Scamp likes to start out on top of me, but Taj, Tuti and Oliver will also get on top, and Oliver doesn't care who's there first!
Tuti gives massages before she lays down.
When I wake up, if I'm not ready to get up, Scamp starts poking me with his paws to get me up, because he wants tummy rubs.
I've been known to have upward to 11 cats in bed, but the norm is closer to 6-8. yes, I have too many cats.

My cat is cold in the winter, so he sits on my head. When that happens, I wake up with a headache. sometimes a neck ache, too.

I see what the problem is. You are under the mistaken impression that it is your pillow. It is the cats pillow. Kitty is gracious enough to allow you to share it with her.
Also the house and everything in it is kitty's. You are only around to pay the bills, open cans with your handy opposable thumb that kitty lacks, and give her all the love and attention she wants when she wants it.
As soon as you get these facts into your human head, life will be much simpler.

give her a pillow that she can use. they really want to sleep in a soft and comfy pillow too. they will sleep like a baby if you give them one

Awwww....how cute! Although I'm sure you don't think it's so cute when you are trying to sleep. My calico loves to lay on top of me and do the same thing. If I don't wake up when she thinks I should, she will do the thing with her whiskers in my nose, or she will cold nose me. LOL

Hi carolbee,
My cats the same, as soon as I go to bed one of then wil come up and strecth on my pillow and no matter if I push him he won't budge and end up sleping with his head in my neck, then after about ten minutes he goes off and the other cat would come and fuss, it will like for some time before she goes off to her favourite chair. Its as if they just come to say good night to me.

I had a cat once that did the same thing. Basically if you don't want your cat up there by you just push him/her off and keep doing it, even cats can learn that this is rest time, I'm going to relax keep your face out of mine, some cats like a lot of attention, so just move her down to your lap and pet her that way, and she'd be out of your face at least.
