Bloggers: Where Do You Get Photos?

I have several blogs and am always looking for photos or other artwork to give the posts more visual appeal. But I don't want to steal photos from news sites or anywhere else. Do any of you bloggers know of sources where you can get free photos, especially of things like musicians performing? I figure there must be some photographers somewhere who will let bloggers use their photos in exchange for a credit and a link or something. Any ideas?

There are several places on the Internet that you can find pictures to enhance your blog entries for free. One of them is All Posters at http://www.allposters.com/ You have to give a link back with this one. Another one is Terra Gallery Photography at http://www.terragalleria.com/index.html You need to get permission first by email in order to use their photographs. I have done this before without any problems.

Cool, I'll check that out. I know allposters as a store to buy posters, but never knew you could get photos from them to use for posting. Thanks for the info!

I usually find pics on tinypic.com You just search what you want and it gives you the html code incase you wish to use it on your site.

My husband takes photos from the local area nad puts them on this blog. His blogs are dedicated to various things and he takes pictures to support the things he is talking about on the blog. He also takes videos and puts them on his blog.He is more of a techie than I am.

Thanks for the comment. I try to remember to take my camera with me wherever I go, just in case I come across something that might make an interesting photo.

I take my own pictures. Sometimes I search for free images in the internet. I don't want to get pics from others too.

I try to take my own, but I do a lot of concert reviews and my concert pics are usually not very good, or else I don't want to fight my way to the front of the crowd just to try to get a shot. I'll try doing searches on the Web. Do you just search for "free photos" or something like that? Thanks for the suggestions.

It is really difficult since you are doing some entertainment blogs and uploads pictures related to music, concerts, or others. Yes I search for free images in the internet. I make it sure that no payment is involved.

I put them on from my digital camera. I take it everywhere I go and when taking photos I get blogging ideas. It is lots of fun.
