I am so glad I do not have to use those. Growing up I had to use them to change my siblings. Completely messy and gross. Then you had to hand wash them before you washed them.

Oh yes, my mother had them for my younger brother. We had a diaper pail, and special detergent. When the diaper was wet, change the baby, and drop it into the pail. If number two was in the diaper, you had to dump it in the toilet, then put in the pail. At the end of the day, empty the pail, put the diapers in the sink, and scrub them, hang them out for the next day's use.

Flushable liners.. really OMG I wish those were an option for me.

cloth diapers nowadays are nothing like the ones used back in the day, they have flushable liners that hold poo and you just flush, they have all in ones, pocket diapers, fitteds, prefolds, the option are endless, velcro, snaps, prints, colors. best of all they are not harmful to the environment. besides did you know that sposies contain a harmful chemical that they removed from tampons that causes toxic shock syndrome not to mention an inquisitive baby that could choke or die from consuming the toxic chemicals used in diapers. boys testes stay to warm possibly causing inferitlity later in life, many children are more prone to diaper rash in sposies cause people leave them in their own flith longer because the dipe isn't quite full yet. you can spend in the upwards of 2,500 dollars just in the first 2 years for diapering one child and that isn't even an expensive brand. not to mention if your toddler doesn't potty train till later. if you use cloth there might be an extra step but it is insurance that your children will have a better environment to live in. and the fact that you can reuse the cloth on consecutive children. oh and statistically speaking children back in the 50s and prior years before the invention of cloth potty trained much faster than children today....

Yes, we have tried those for our first child. Though you can save rather than buying disposable diapers, i would still prefer the disposable diapers because it would save time... no need to wash the cloth diapers and you can do other important things.

True, disposable diapers do safe time for other things. I think that's what makes them so awesome.

I raised 4 kids on cloth diapers. The disposable one were just coming into use back then. I think that using the cloth diapers made it a lot easier o potty train the kids because the could feel the wet and didn't like it. If I had it to do again I would still them Sure you had to rinse them out all the time but they were a lot cheaper and didn't fill the landfills. Besides when the kids were finished with them I had some nice oft cleaning rags.

The feeling of the wet is what I hated the most. It was all swishy.

Yes, I experienced wearing those. & I saw it at my nephews & nieces as well before. But not now. It is hard unlike the diapers. My kids wear diapers. Easy & convenient for them.

Diapers are much easiers to use and easier to get rid of.
