I love doing stuffs, and sell it. I'll be setting up an online store and I dont know what else to sell. I will sell bracelets made of plastic beads, polymer clays. That is all I can do. I dont want anything to do with knitting, or crochet stuffs like that because I dont know how to make them and its time consuming. Can you please suggest some things I can do which I can sell. Thanks in advance! And happy mylotting! :)

I think you should make your craft about something you enjoy doing and like to make. I think you will have more creativity and passion for it if you like it. I know you have to consider also what will sell. I make jewelry, but I like doing it and have concentrated on that and have come to love it and have gotten pretty good with it. I would like to try some other crafts, but for right now I want to concentrate on the jewelry. I am currently on Etsy but have very little in my shop and have to add more when I get some time and not on myLot. Are you setting up on Ebay or Etsy? Best of luck to you. I hope you make lots and lots and lots of sales.

Yes you do have to pay at Ebay and it can get to be quite a bit by the time you pay for all the pictures and extras. I like Etsy much better because it is a very low price to set up each item and you can have 5 pictures per item for one price. I also like Etsy because it is a site for all handmade crafts and they have a large community of people and growing. There is alot of competition and some quite talented people. You could always try just a couple of things on Etsy when you feel more like you are better at it. Yes I have my shop set up so the customer pays the shipping. Most shops do but I have seen it (rarely) where online vendors do not charge shipping. They probably add it into the price of the item anyway, who knows. I just try to be fair with my prices, do not want to gouge anyone. I have never heard of Multiply. I think you should try there first because it sounds like you would be the most comfortable there and then you can check out others. I am just with the Etsy and that is enough to keep up with. The best of luck to you.

Neither of the two. I visited Etsy days ago, if I set up my business there, competition with the other craft makers will happen. I am not that good to compete with them. On Ebay, well I thinked about it before. Just want to ask, do you pay Ebay for posting the stuffs you sell there? i'll be using Multiply, I figured out that lots of my fellow Filipinos are there, buying stuffs. I want to sell to other countries but, I still dont know if it will work for me. In you shop, do you ask your customers to shoulder the shipping expenses? I am still studying about having online business. Your response will be highly appreciated. Thanks! :)

Thanks for the suggestion but it will take most of my time. I know how to make them but I just dont have time for them. Unless it is just small. Btw, where do you get patterns? I can make them if they are only small. That can add up to the things I will sell.

I'm putting up a one man business. I'll be the one working for everything. I dont think I can make stuffs in bulk orders, but if I'll be given a month to work on it, I think I can make it. Thanks for the suggestion. I will try that but I will indicate to have it ordered a month or two. Thanks and happy mylotting! :)

I have done pretty well making and selling items made from plastic canvas. I recently started a discussion called, "craft photo request" where you can see one of my finished items. This year I didn't go to any craft fairs because of the intense heat and rain. I sold some things where I work also quite by accident when someone saw what I carried my personal things in such as my driver's license and health insurance card. It is a bit time consuming but I enjoy working with detailed items. Good luck and much success to you, carolbee
