Finally, here's a picture of my Independence Day fireworks!

You can't buy your own fireworks? That's a shame! They're such fun! But, they could be quite dangerous, too, unless you know what you're doing and are quite careful. So many people lose their hands or fingers in the U.S. each year because they're stupid and don't play by the rules! Each state here in the U.S. is different in their laws about fireworks. In Virginia, where I now live, we can buy quite a lot of different kinds. In Maryland, where I grew up, almost all of them are illegal. In another state near us, Tennessee, you can buy any kind you want! My best friend's kids love to come here and visit so they can set off their own fireworks. They live in Maryland, so they can't buy or set off their own.

hi the only time we have fireworks is November the 5th, Guy Fawkes night when guy Fawkes tried to blow up the houses of parliament but failed..but I do have 2 dogs and it scares them silly if I get them so may go to a firework display its safer anyway

I like go to an organized display of fireworks on 5th November because fireworks are expensive if I buy them myself. My dogs are also scared of all the loud noises in my district on Guy Fawkes Night.

I really would love to have pictures of these fireworks when they were set off, but they didn't turn out so well. My camera was set for "night flash", so they all came out looking like long trails of light. Live and learn, huh? I put this picture here as a joke only. I didn't think anyone would be expecting to see the fireworks BEFORE they were set off! Anyway, what a really cool birthday you have! You should be here at least one year for your birthday. What an awesome birthday party you'd have! Everyone in the country would be celebrating your birthday!!! Let's see, maybe I can find one of the pictures that didn't look TOO bad.
