Do you assign all of these responsibilities to your eldest? Or do you give each one of them , even the youngest something to do?
It is proven through research that giving responsibilities to a child makes him more responsible as an adult. This is because he would be experiencing the self-fulfillment of being able to accomplish something.

I believe you assign all of them apart from the todler ofcourse, from experience if you assign the eldest he/she tends to think your making them the maid for the others, better you give all starting with hard ones to the older ones and the easy ones to the younger ones

With my younger kids i make sure that they get to help me preparing the table every meal. Both little kid puts plate and other utensils on the table.I let them clean up their litters and toys.My youngest(girl) helps me with vacuuming--
she's going three this September. She starts it and i do the finishing.I am disappointed with my eldest, a teener.Se used to be a help but after leaving her under my mother's care everything was different-i'm not blaming mom.Dish washing was assigned to her but i have to keep on reminding her about this.I feel sad at times and would do it myself.Wish i could make her change.
