With the onset of DVD's and CD's people find it more comfortable to watch at home. You can put your feet up and be in your pajamas and just lie in the couch and be comfortable. Are you among those who need to see a movie in the movie house? Or are you contented with the small screen as long as you're more comfortable? Which matters to you most, is it your comfort or your cinematic experience?

Yes, I am. But, I do choose the movie. e.g. I don't watch "pride and prejudice" in movie house and "Kongfu Panda" is the laugh-together movie which deserves a movie house. So, I enjoy the chosen movie in the movie house. But nowadays, the movie-house deserved movie is less and less~~~

Yes I actually still do. Although I prefer to watch movies at home, if I really like a movie or have waited for a long time to watch a good movie, I won't hesitate to go to the mall and watch it at the theater. It is more comfortable at home though as I can move more and I have more control over the movie.

Yes, I do. Every Saturday. I don't mind watching movies on DVD but sometimes nothing compares to the feeling of having seen the movies I anticipated on the big screen. I may have been disappointed with some I saw but nevertheless I had a great time. I only pick those movies I think are worth seeing on the big screen though.

Hi friend, since 9 years I haven't been to a movie house. We watch at home but not much.as day to day life has become very hectic, going to moviehouses is decreasing day by day among people.we feel exhausting to go to a movie house and sit in a place without moving for hours together.so people prefer watching at home nowadays. As technology has improved and we get home theatres for reasonable price and also we get theatre effect at home.so we sit at home and watch happily.

yes i definitely still catch movies in the cinema. there are shows that must be caught in the cinema. i don't have a very big tv at home so the special effects will be lost. i don't mind watching movies that are mainly on storyline at home. but for movies that sells based on special effects, a trip to the cinema is a must. a few movies i can think of that falls into this category with be transformer, lord of the rings trilogy and die hard 4. i can't imagine watching them at home, it'll be such a waste. cheers ;p

I have not been to the cinema for years, I think that if I remember rightly the last time I went to the cinema was to see the bride of chucky. That film was so rubbish that I vowed never to waste my money again! Now we just get them all on dvd if we want to watch a film. It is actually better for me to do this, as I am one of those people who gets bored of sitting quiet and so will become really fidgety and will start to talk halfway through a film!

For me, it often depends on the movie. Some movies are best watched in a theater with others around you who are also laughing or crying or somehow being touched emotionally. Sometimes the big screen presents a movie better. (And I will never have a huge TV at home...unless someday we can't buy smaller ones. I don't want a home theater.) Some movies present well on a small screen and are better shared with close friends and relatives. And some movies are great to watch alone at home. It all depends...

Sometimes, I'm a cheapskate, though. I'll wait for a movie to go from the regular theater to the cheapie one - where it only costs $2.50. You know...they used to be dollar theaters.

Hello Jenaisle. I do enjoy watching my favourite movies at home in my bed wearing just my pj. In most cases, i do prefer my home as it is more comfortable. I do not want to get stuck in the traffic. Or worse, I need a good budget, since if i go out, my son would tag along with me!

I still watch movies in moviehouses as I don't have a big flat screen yet...hopefully I'll get one and have my own entertainment room (wishes!) Also, watching movies in moviehouses is also a way for me to bond with my friends, family and especially my daughter. We get to share popcorn while watching movies, then have dinner afterwards where we talk about the movie we have just watched. Actually my daughter and I just came home now after watching Wall-E, we both love it :)

yeah, I'm still watching movies in moviehouses. I don't care if the tickets are expensive but as long as they got good sound quality, big screen, aircond, I have no regret at all. Beside, my house doesn't have LCD or flatscreen tv. All I have is just that old school CRT tv. 20" precisely.I usually go with my wife but right now, I going myself because my wife is 6 month pregnant and she rather stay home resting. By the way, it takes a long time for us in my country to receive a good and original dvd for the latest movie. If I'm not mistaken, 3 month after the movie stop showing. What's available is that pirated dvd that taken from the cinema. Who wants to watch that anyway? The pictures are bad not to mention the sound. The price almost the same as the tickets itself.

Hi Jenaisle, I don't watch a lot of movies anymore, but when I do it's always at home. I'm content with the small screen and I feel more comfortable at home. Blessings.

I still love the experience of going to the movies its fun, when i was really little i use to go to those old drive inns and i still like going to the indoor theater though its not quite the same as the drive in i think going to the movies is a grate way to get out of the house and have fun and experience the movie with a friend or with the rest of the world i like buying DVD'S but going to the movies is fun to.

Wow this is my first time ever hearing someone call a move theater a movie house before. I prefer to go to the movie theater and watch a movie there. It is still cheap to go to the movies where I live at. It is only 3 dollars for a movie. SO it does not bother me to go to the movies and watch a show there. Plus it really is that noisy there anyways.

Considering the crisis nowadays, i never watched movie at the movie house anymore, what for? I am contented with DVD's or CD's and better off watching it at home with your family, in that way you are not just saving money you also have time bonding with your family, right?
