sometimes it is better to cry

This is because it would let you have a new perspective, a new understanding of the way you perceived your life earlier. It's okay to cry, and it does not make you look weak. As a matter of fact, it shows that you are a honest person, who doesn't hide the true inner emotions. By watering your eyes once in a while, don't be pessimistic about your future, instead think of it as a rinsing of your clouded eyes that will allow you to have a crystal clear vision for the upcoming events to come and hopefully, you won't be able to repeat those things that made you cried in the first place. What do you say?

This is a good discussion. My brothers were raised that if you cried you were not a man. I think that is pure hog wash. I think everyone has to cry at one time or another in their lifes. It is a good thing. It is a cleansing of the spirit and soul. I am not saying either to cry at a drop of the hat. But crying once in a while cleanses oneself. This is true for both men and women.

The reason we have tears is for them to be shed occasionally. I have to absolutely agree with you on this behalf. Cry but also learn from them. We make mistakes, we hurt ourselves, and why wouldn't we? We are not angels per say, we are merely humans who are known for their erroneous way. I really liked your statement about cleansing the soul, you have made my day friend. God bless!

I think that when girls cry, its because they want to rid themselves of the emotional baggage that's caught up with them, and so after a good cry we're ready to face the world again. However with guys I feel as though they see crying as a weakness, because its not the manly thing to do. But from my point of view I think that a man who is not afraid to reveal his sensitive side is a braver man (not to mention hot), because he is willing to show that he is not perfect and he sometimes needs to cry. Anyways as a whole I think it is better to cry sometimes to just finally let it go and after that move on.

Unfortunately, we are chained into following stereotypical roles. For instance, a male has to be brave and for a female, it is okay to cry. Such stereotypes have proven to be damaging and downright disgusting if I may add. And as you yourself have pointed out, it requires a much stronger and braver man to highlight his sensitive side and I have to say, I wholeheartedly agree with you on that regard. Social and peer pressures, societal demanding of norms and role-playing is what have caused such a differentiating view of our perception of the world. Good day friend!

It's okay to cry. Crying helps to release emotions and sometimes therapeutic. After crying you'd feel a little better. Good afternoon.

Yes, after every bad storm, a rainbow would emerge. For each and every tear shed, a stronger person would be born. Thank you for participating in this. Good afternoon to you too!

ya i guess it is always better to cry and let go of your frustration then build it inside that might lead to even more problems. and yes as you said it theres an old saying that goes - "you should always cry once in a while to clear your vision so that you can see your future more properly"

The saying you mentioned was exactly what I had in my mind as an inspiration to come up with this discussion. What we do in our presence will become our future. So if we do that with a clearer sight of vision, our future would accordingly be brighter. Crying won't make you weak, but it will get rid of the blurriness that clouds your judgment and the way you understand your surroundings. Good day!

I do cry a lot... crying is better than letting the pain and frustration grow inside you. It's better you cry and let go of the tension. That's why i do..

My friends say that crying is actually very therapeutic and can relieve depression if done in just the right amount. Let it out and live the life to the fullest, why keep tensing oneself? :D have a happy day friend!

I totally agree with you, if you feel that you need to cry just do it, does not matter if a man or woman, I just cannot see a man crying, I cry with them it is very funny I get all emotional!

I believe men should cry, like not unnecessarily of course ;). They should let them express. Break the social norms and stereotypical reinforcements. Such limitations and restrictions are all meaningless, baseless and downright degrading. If I feel emotional about something, I let it out, no big deal and people should be open to accept such frankness. Thanks for your input, valeria
