Is esting Squid good for health??

today I bought squid without knowing how to cook it and we finally ended up with something like rubber .. really was not that great to eat .. but some are saying if cooked properly its a great dish and some are saying its poisonous ..
any ideas??

Had similar to these in a restaraunt in brighton. very nice. don't know about them being poisonous though. i would hope not.
